Does anything divide people's opinion more than Marmite? Possibly Brexit, but that seems about it. There's nothing else quite like it. It's a yeast extract, fortified with B vitamins. Originally it used to use the yeast left over from the brewing industry, whether it still does, I'm not sure. Taste wise, it's a salty, savoury, umami taste. Quite unlike anything else. It contains barley, wheat, oats, rye, and celery. Nutritionally its high in protein (34%), but is also high in salt (10.8%), so, if you're on a low sodium diet, then use sparingly. Do not put it in the fridge, else it will because a thick unspreadable lump. A spoonful makes a welcome addition to any savoury dish such as a stew. It really enhances the flavour. Fortified with B vitamins and folic acid, it's a useful addition for pregnant ladies. It is suitable for vegans. Overall, Marmite is a versatile, savoury spread, great on its own, or added to a stew. I always have a jar in the cupboard. I hope you found this review helpful.

A salty spread for morning toast - great way to start the day

Not everyone will like it.. Either u like it or u jus hate it instantly.. Well I hated it.. So will suggest all to try once.. taste it and then only buy if u like it.. Not to buy and try item!!!
