How well does this function as a sunblock?

You can buy regular sunblock for humans, just make sure it DOES NOT have zinc. Zinc is very dangerous for animals.

I'm looking for vegan paw wax. Could this be used as this?

Natural Dog Company also makes a paw soother..check out their web site..The Snout Soother is beyond AMAZING..

Can this be used for preventative care or only if they develop dry snout?

"Greetings from Natural Dog Company, Yes, Snout Soother can be used for this issue, but Wrinkle Balm is better formulated to treat acne. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns. "

How long do you leave it on before you let your dog lick their nose?

Actually my dog doesn’t try to lick it off. It eventually gets absorbed. I did read that it won’t harm them if they do.
