Mobilux LED 50D 12x 35mm Illuminated Magnifier

Very useful and handy.

This was actually for my mother to replace a lost magnifier - the same model. She has macular degeneration and therefore partially sighted. She finds it very useful when trying to read things.

Took a while for this to be delivered but was well packed when it arrived. I was disappointed with it though. The lens quality just isn't that great. The area that's in focus is so small, and the slightest movement and out of focus. I bought it for impressioning keys as I'm a locksmith but it's just not useable. Maybe a lower powered one would have been better. I have a 15x loupe I purchased brand new from a flea market for £4. Much better image quality than this!! To get any real use out of this I've found you have to hold it right up close to your eye and bring objects to it.

I was slightly disappointed with this magnifier which I bought for nature study (small insects, flowers etc). It is significantly more expensive than some similar competitor products (eg Opticron) - and although I have not had the opportunity to compare similar models directly, I had expected the larger 35mm lens would give a better image than it does. I find that the area of the image which is in fine focus is relatively small, and the chromatic aberration in the area just outside the focal optimum is quite severe and very distracting.

Der Unterschied zu den Billiglupen aus China ist deutlich. Ich hatte auch schon einmal solche billigen Lupen bestellt, die dann aber überhaupt nicht brauchbar waren, um kleine Schrift oder Verletzungen und Zecken auf der Haut zu erkennen. Billiglupen verzerren auch die Sicht, und das zu betrachtende Objekt wirkt unscharf. Das alles ist mit dieser qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Lupe von Eschenbach völlig anders. Ich kann alle Details in Texten und auf der Haut sehr gut und ohne Verzerrungen erkennen. Die Lupe ist auch sehr gut verarbeitet. Ein großer Pluspunkt ist auch das LED Licht, welches die Stelle, die vergrößert wird, sehr gut ausleuchtet. Ich habe mir auch den dazu passenden Ständer mitbestellt. Er ist sehr praktisch, um die Lupe bei längerem Betrachten nicht die ganze Zeit halten zu müssen. Und wenn Splitter oder Zecken aus der Haut einer Hand entfernt werden müssen, brauche ich meine rechte Hand, um die Pinzette zu bedienen.

tres bonne loupe, meme si pas asphérique comme je l'espérais les différentes couleurs d eclairage s'obtiennent en rajoutant un petit bidule coloré devant la LED (à ne pas perdre !!)

Idéale pour une lecture de près, l'observation de fleurs disséquées ou d'insectes minuscules, personnellement achetée pour pratiquer l'iridologie et pour ce faire, cette loupe ne convient pas spécialement, je me retrouve quasiment loupe sur oeil, sans possibilité d'avoir une vue d'ensemble, compte tenu du diamètre insuffisant de l'objet... Je m'en servirai peut-être pour entrer dans le détail au besoin mais dans l'immédiat, je vais devoir en trouver une + pratique pour l'approche globale de l'oeil qui est impossible avec celle-ci.
