Skandika Nimbus Family Group Hybrid Design Family Tunnel Tent, 3 Sleeping Rooms, Moveable Front Wall, 200 cm Peak Height,12-Person/Large

We were five people using it, and had loads of space, but the tent could comfortably take eight. Expecting to have to remain inside the tent during wet weather, we had decided to opt for one that would give maximum living space. This Skandika Nimbus 12 man tent was perfect. The main living space is easily big enough for tall people to stand up without brushing their heads against the roof, and it feels roomy. But if you want even more living space, the front door panel can move forward by one zip to encompass the front porch area too.The four bedroom 'pods' are a good size. Each one fits three people at a squeeze, or two very comfortably. We used three as bedrooms and the fourth as a walk-in store room. We particularly liked the design of the front porch, as, being sloped, it won't collect rain on the roof like some 'square flap and two tent poles' porches. And it was the perfect place to store boots and shoes, thus keeping the main living space dirt free.The tent is light for its size, and not difficult to put up. Do remember, however, to attach the four corners of the central roof window to their hooks BEFORE you put the tent up, and feed the tent poles through the loops at the roof centre. This isn't mentioned in the instructions (which are few). We loved using the tent, and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect in well sheltered camp site but not so good in wind exposed areas. Very noisy in windy weather as the material flaps a lot in the wind and unable to get it taut with guidewires. Gave me a headache and sleepless night too, felt like was inside a plastic bag! 2.The central vent is a poor design for wet weather as it leaked when we had heavy rain with wind from the side. Remember to attach before lifting up. Central poles! 3. Also the front canopy needs more supporting peg holes as it comes loose when the wind gets under it. And fiinally number 4. There are 4 ventilation flaps which have no velcro to close them during high winds so very cold inside the tent.Overall, great space in doors and perfect for 2 adults and 4 kids but not suitable for the extremes of Irish weather. Will use it again but not by the sea after making some repairs to ripped pegs site material and investing in some ear plugs!

Have used this tent twice since purchase, its easy to put up once you have sussed out how to do it as the instructions are useless. Its a very large tent that could accommodate 8 adults max. I could park my car in this tent! Be aware this tent is 8m x 7m so some campsites will not allow this size tent in peak season, check with campsite first.

We are reasonably experienced campers - our last tent (an Outwell) ran out of steam after about 30 trips, and I was cautious about a Skandia not having heard of the brand before....but glad i bought it.On the positive side - tent is massive, tonnes of room even when pouring with rain you can easily have 8 people sat down eating inside, love the separated rooms, the fact that the front 'wall' of the tent can be moved back to the inside of the tent is also a great plus. I wouldn't worry about the rather brief instructions - if you have put up a tent before it is fairly straight forward - we got it up in under an hour - 1 adult and kids on a windy day - just don't forget to put the dark blue flap on the top (which we missed at first until the rain poured).On the less positive side - the elastic in the poles is poor quality - one has gone already. Not the end of the world, but annoying non the less. The ground sheet is silver which isn't a great colour for covering the dirt. Not wholly confident this will last as long as the Outwell tent did either...All in all - would recommend though. Simple to put up and put away. Loads of space. Does what it says on the tin. Only lost 1 star because of the tent pole elastic breaking on the first trip.

This tent is very spacious and excellent for a large family but was difficult to put in the wind instructions could do with being clearer and maybe a video demo would help. used only twice and was not suitable and some damaged caused in strong wind. But the company max -trader were excellent they sorted out my issues and gave me a full refund I would trust this company and thank them for the excellent customer service, even gave me a free gift a camp accessory.The tent is more than big enough for 12 people and still ample room option to have a porch or extend living area? Used it both ways and wax useful.Did like the tent just did not work for us or we were just unlucky with the wind.

Just put the tent up in the garden to check that all components were present, they were.The quality is fantastic and the space is enormous.I think the kids are sleeping in it tonight.We are all delighted with our new tent.

Very spacious sleeping pods with room for double air beds, 3m x 2m sitting area "bigger than your living room" and you can only reach the ceiling on tiptoes, 3m x 1m porch for dirty shoes and wet coats next to living room, possible to put up with only 2 people, just trust in the strength of the poles.

Not great at all, the poles bent first day, doesn't do well in wind , back zip broke and had to stitch it up in wind and rain totally spoilt our camping trip

Ein super Zelt. Es hat zwar keinen eingenähten Boden, aber dieses problem haben wir einfach mit abdekplanen behoben und so einen durchgehenden Zeltboden gebaut auf die wir dann die innenkabienen und den zeltboden draufgelegt haben. Der aufbau ging auch an der See mit mittelstarkem Wind mit stärkeren Böen mit 2 personen ohne Probleme. Der trick dabei ist, zuerst die mittlere Kuppel aufzustellen und mit Heringen zu Sichern und mit 4 Spannleinen abzuspannen. Danach sollte nochmals die ausrichtung der kuppel geprüft werden (symetrie). Ach und bevor ich es vergesse die belüftungsabdekung nicht wergessen!!!! Diese sollte befestigt sein bevor man die Kuppel aufstellt da diese selbst Mit 2m Körpergrösse nach dem aufstellen nur schwer bzw gar nicht erreicht werden kann. nachdem die kuppel steht kann man dann nacheinander die kabienen aufstellen und abspannen. im ganzen dauert der aufbau wenn man gut im Team zusammen arbeitet ca 2 std.Die Verarbeitung ist bei unserem Zelt nicht zu beanstanden. Alle Nähte sind dicht und der stoff ist Stabil. genauso gibt es keine Beanstandungen am Gestänge. Die Neongelben Abspannleinen sind sehr gut im dunkeln zu erkennen. Der variable Eingang ist super wenn man mal schlechtes Wetter hat und noch nen bissl mehr Platz im Zelt haben möchte. Die Schlafkabienen sind gut durchdacht und die Organizer sind super. Ein weiteres tolles plus ist das in jeder Schlafkabine eine Öse vorhanden ist an der man eine Zeltlampe anbringen kann.Was zu guter letzt noch schön wäre wenn es von Werk Fliegengitter an den Eingängen geben würde. Wir haben einfach einen vorhang aus fliegen gitter vor die Eingänge gehängt. Die Schlafkabienen sind mit Fliegengittern ausgestattetFazit ein super Zelt/ Ferienwohnung

J'ai eu un petit soucis de fabrication et la toile a été remplacé en moins d'une semaine. Je recommande ce vendeur qui a le sens de le relation client

veramente una gran bella tenda, facile da montare, spaziosa, arieggiata e molto comoda, ma purtroppo non proprio impermeabile!!!ne ho acquistato due e le ho usate a Caldonazzo in occasione di una gara di canoa. Ho fatto dormire all'interno delle due tende 18 ragazzini d'età compresa tra i 11 ed i 14 anni,Premetto che le tende sono state montate da 4 persone adulte ed esperte. Purtroppo la prima notte è scoppiato un temporale e pioggia continua per quasi tutta la notte. al mattino dentro la tenda si poteva allestire un acquario, il tetto gocciolava da tutte le parti ed il pavimento era simile ad un lago. quasi quasi le gare le potevamo fare dentro la tenda stessa.a mia giudizio ottima come spazio e praticità ma solo in caso di bel tempo.
