Not as heat resistant as silicone
I normally use RTV silicone to make my own injection ports, but I bought these cause I thought it would be easier and look nicer. However, if you flame sterilize your needle, these injection ports will melt and leave a hole. Definitely switching back to silicone next time. They do look nice and would work fine if you aren't doing that, though.

Will melt if you try to sterilize.
I used these for innoculating grain spawn for mushrooms. When I sterilized in my pressure cooker, I would say 3/4 of them melted.

Just tabs, not jar tops
Just rubber tabs, you can get 100 of these for like 5 bucks I do not recommend, unless your rich and love to waste money. Maybe my fault but won't be ordering these overpriced tabs ever again. Keep searching you'll see what I mean....

These ports were just as advertised.Auto claving multiple times, no problem!I would suggest you "Flatten" the punched out edge. or debure it.
