I cannot express how good this product is. Its one of the best value products I have bought in a very long time. Not just phone holders but anything in general. The phone I use currently is a huawei mate 20 pro, so a reasonably large phone, and this eats and secures it with no problems. The phone is held so sturdily it begs belief. I actually use it currently in a flat bed truck with stiffened rear springs so is a very crashy, harsh ride, but this product keeps my phone in place, hasn't spat it out once. I used to use the vent mounted carriers but won't be going back to them from now on. This product is super easy to use, just slip over the dash surround, lift up the top clip, insert phone, Lower clip, job done. Also my phone is not held in Central due to the power button location but this has no effect on the effectiveness of this product. Cannot recommend this enough. Get one now, you won't regret it. Great item

So this phone holder is working well for me, very easy to use and holds the phone well. My only comment, and it's probably unavoidable, is that it holds the phone very 'upright' and as a result is quite tall. I'm 5'11'' and it almost starts to block my view at the very bottom of my screen, I suspect for a shorter person it may be an issue. It also obscures a small amount of my dash display as it 'loops under' the dash. Both are acceptable as I did not want my phone flying around every time I have to break suddenly and did not want to connect it to my air vents. Good product, well done.

It works well, I use it to hold my garmin satnav above driver's instrument panel and it holds it really well. Only problem is the overall size, it is a little large and an be seen as obstructing your view (police officer's pointed out to me!). Apart from that it is a good gadget.

Why there aren't more mobile phone holders with a similar design is a mystery. I've had to replace or abandon sticky-pad and magnet designs as, one-by-one, they've failed. This is so simple. It grips the instrument visor firmly and the strong spring clip holds the phone. No glues or suckers to fail. No magnets to loose their grip on rough roads. Slight problems: (1) Only landscape. (2) In my car, the bottom of the phone's screen is very slightly obscured by the steering wheel. I use it mostly as a satnav, so not a serious issue. On the plus side:, the charging port is totally unobstructed at the bottom of the phone, the audio jack, ditto, at the top of the phone and the camera lens is clear and outward facing, so I've now got a free dash-cam!! Would recommend.

It should last more than a year

After the second one I bought also broke within a month, it is safe to say this is the worst car phone holder I've tried. Concept is great as it easily clasps the phone. However the clasp snaps soon after purchase. What a pity.

I bought this on a whim to see what I would get out of it - didn't think I would use it now for my daily commute! It holds my Google Pixel XL just fine - landscape only but that's OK. It simply slips over the centre console lip that I have over my instruments, and I pop my phone into place. Its stable, non-intrusive to my line of sight and holds the phone very well while not feeling like its crushing the life out of it. Rubber covered grips have enough for any large device AND it can still hold a larger device if needed. The jaws stretch out quite far.
