Stoney Point Rapid Pivot Bipod Sitting/Kneeling System

I have one of this style from Stony Point I bought many years ago, and still use it and love it. This newer one and its fellows havw a more flexible neck, rubber or something. Too flexible. The rifle even a light predator rifle causes is to tilt on the bipod. I understand the reason for it, but the older ones seem to be shorter in that rubber part and therefore less flexible and more useful. I have tried this in the prone version with a heavy long range rifle and you can forget about that as stable platform. I use a Harris for that instead. If they still make a less flexible, perhaps shorter I love it and would buy it. I bought this one as a loaner for friends and that is all its good for.

This is a good alternative, for shooting sticks if you do alot of coyote hunting. You will need the hardware attachment quick connect that fits on your front sling stud on most rifles. These adjust quickly, for a kneeling or sitting position. Only drawback is they are a little flimsy at the top, which may work to your advantage on a shot that you need them to give a little. Very lightweight, and you are able to rotate your rifle with them attached for moving shots.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, and as far as I know, he loves it. The only thing is, every product description he/I saw said that the assembly instructions were included ~ they were not. You have to either call or e-mail the company to get them to send them to you. He figured out how to put it together without the instructions, so they might not even be needed.

... I don't like the plastic hinge that is used. It feels like it will not last very long. I wish the hinge was an actual hinge that would pivot on an axis, but I love being able to snap the gun on it and not having to carry 2 separate items when moving around.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE PUSHING THE BIPOD ON TO THE ADAPTOR. MY SON HAS ONE AND IT WORKS FINE ON MY ADAPTOR. I HAVE HAD TO LOOSEN THE SIDE SCREWS WHERE THE BALL AND SPRINGS ARE IN ORDER FOR MY BIPO TO WORK.

While using bipods last winter during a cold night on a coyote hunt, the flexible yolk that joins the legs together snapped right off. Had only used them four or five times. The cold temp causes the yolk to lose its flexibity . Very poor design, I don't think the company field tested this product under all hunting conditions. Other than that, they could be a vauable hunting accessory.

I like the Bipod it met my expectations. It is a little hard to detach from the connecting post, other than that it works as described.It is extremely light which is a big plus and appears to be very strong.

Very good idea, but the rubber connections tear up pretty easily

excellent pod for out in the field quick to attach and remove and if you cannot go prone, Kneeling and sitting it is perfect because I cannot get any lower than that it has good movement to follow any target you wish to engage from any position and any angle easy attached to gun using strap studs and removed when on the move the best you can get will not be disappointed
