Is this for 10 lbs OR 3 cases of 10 lbs each?

It comes as 3 pieces of rock that, together, weighs 10# - I felt that it was a misleading advertisement - I thought I was getting a total of 30# but this is NOT what I received.

Can this keep my phosphates high?

not if you keep up with your water changes and feed less to your fish daily.

Ok i'm going to sound stupid...can someone tell me why is a rock called a live rock ? almost 60 and never heard of this ...sorry !

Well in the hobby there are two forms usually associated. Live rock and dry live rock. Live rock is rock that has been cured and has a thriving bacteria colony living within it. Dry live rock (as in this caribsea rock) has 0 bacteria and does not have any seeded bacteria for your tank. This kind of rock made from aragonite, thy are all usually called live rock. It's mainly used for saltwater tanks but you can used them in freshwater as well.

Is 10 lbs enough for 20 gallon tank

For filtration I would say no, because they say you need at least 1lb of rock per gallon. Aesthetically I would also say no bc in my 10gal this 10lbs was just enough.
