are these knee pads padded to diminish the blunt force from a fall while walking?

I am really happy with these knee pads. I work in a rough ground atmosphere. These pads have passed the test of kneeling and crawling on rocks. These are the best padded pads I have owned. I will definitely get me another pair.

are these knee pads non-skid? My son is a USMC Crew Chief in an Osprey Aircraft, which flys with the cargo door open. Can't afford to slide

They are smooth leather, as a 26 year retired Marine and now a high security construction supervisor. I won't recommend these for my brother Marine. However these are the best knee pads I have ever owned and just ordered a backup pair I keep in my truck tool box for changing tires and stuff

Is the leather real or fake? What material is the padding inside made of?

I bought them for my husband and he said they are not leather the padding in the inside is really good he wears them all the time at work. They are worth buying! he said. Hope this helps.
