Nest WiFi Pro 6E GA03030-US Fast Speed and Whole Home Coverage Mesh Router -Color Snow

We previously added a third node to the guest bedroom but surprisingly enough, it failed in less than six months. Perhaps I could have sent it back to Google for repairs or replacement but considering that I purchased the unit from a popular site which begins with eB**, I could not ascertain whether this unit was still under warranty. That being said, I decided to go ahead and purchase a new one (node). We received it in amazing Amazon quick shipping time and my wife unboxed it, took it to the guest bedroom, and set it up with the Google Home app. It worked like a charm and it's fully up and operational. Prior to me writing this review, I asked her if we've had any issues with it and she said that we have not. This, I hope is a good sign! (Hope I didn't jinx myself!). She would normally receive some sort of notification if one of the three nodes is not working properly. All three are working just fine at this time. PROS: Works great! easy to set up, Google ease of installation CONS: None noted at the time of this review

Great vendor for a great product

This Google Nest router has great hardware features, but terrible software. The router can only be setup and controlled by the Google Home app, which WILL NOT allow disabling the "power saving" mode, so my Apple TV constantly reports "No WiFi" during streaming. I am visually impaired, so I have VoiceOver on, so I constantly hear this notification during streaming. The Settings page in the Google Home app is very poorly designed. Settings for (1) Internet settings, (2) LAN/Ethernet Settings, and (3) Wifi are not separated or organized well. There are limited "advanced" settings. Also, there is no Quality of Service (QoS) settings, so I can't tell the router to prioritize Apple TV WiFi traffic. My tests show an $80 TP-Link router has faster WiFi than this $150 Google Nest, possibly because the Nest has to come out of low power mode, and re-establish a connection each time. Bottom line, the fact that I can't disable the "power saving" mode was a deal breaker for me.

The replacement of my soon-to-be supported Orbi router went very well, except for linking to 2.4 GHz wireless plugs. However, it linked very well with the Matter plugs. All is easily controlled by the Google Home app. Coverage for my 1,800 square foot house is adequate and meets my low demand.

Exactly what I needed to extend my mesh Wi-Fi by one additional point. Easy setup, provides excellent coverage.

I had a three pack but wanted a bit better signal on the back porch so I added a fourth. Great signal everywhere now. I use wired back haul back to a gigabit switch so I don't rely on good WiFi for the mesh. This also means the other port on the WiFi device has a full 1 Gigabit connection ,great for use as an extension.

Great price but this is either a refurb or a return. Did not come in original Google packaging. Unit setup and seems to be working fine so happy to save $100. Just wish the original listing was clear it was not Google original.
