I’ve been using the Hagasawa cutting board for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best upgrades I’ve made in my kitchen. First off, the quality is immediately noticeable. The surface feels sturdy and well-crafted, without being overly heavy or bulky. It strikes a great balance—solid enough for serious chopping, but still easy to handle and clean. The board doesn’t warp or slide around, which makes prep work feel a lot safer and more efficient. What I really appreciate is how gentle it is on my knives. After repeated use, my blades are still holding their edge well, which tells me the material is thoughtfully designed. At the same time, it doesn’t absorb odors or stains easily, even after cutting things like garlic, onions, or meat.

Amazing cutting board. Perfect for my vg10 knives and white and blue steel. It is easy to clean. I have not washed it in a dishwasher and wasj it by hand. The board feels quite durable, although a finger can scratch it so you can tell its not to hard for hard metals. My only complaint which isnt really a complaint is if a rag isnt down it will slip, but is better than losing a side to a non slip counter surface. Also a little speedy, but it reminds me of the boards I used when working in a restaurant. Will probably buy more on a sale and maybe even some at standard price.

Going on 2 months now, I can honestly say my knives are staying sharper. Bought 2, I love the size for a household of 2. Cook 2 to 3 meals a day on them and they are holding up great. I do sashimi as well and it's just a better cutting board. I do put down a damp paper towel first and it stays put on my granite counter tops.

Doesn't disappoint - love the proportions and the look and so far it is great on my Japanese knives.

Hubby requested this cutting board - I was looking to purchase a traditional wooden board. I got the biggest version of this board available because I like a lot of space to work on a board, while it's not huge space, it's definitely large enough for what I need. I LOVE the light weight of this board while at the same time it's sturdy, cleans well & easy to handle in the sink. I haven't had it long enough to know if the white is going to stain cutting things like garnet sweet potatoes, etc, so far it's seems to have come off, and for me that's just part of cutting board ownership & use, but that might be a consideration on color if that bothers people.
