Forest Master USBB Firewood Kindling Log Splitter Blade

Brought this before my luck ran out and whilst I still had all my fingers to write reviews.. it’s simple, effective, quick and it works..No more close calls with an axe nearly savaging a finger, being super critical it could do with being slightly longer or maybe wider to ensure the wood split every single time but the safety benefit far outweighs this niggle wish I’d brought one sooner

I've struggled on for years using an axe to cut up kindling. Fed up, I took to Amazon to find an easier solution.This item is brilliant. I wish I'd found it years ago. It is so much easier and safer using this to cut kindling. I've a manged to cut a lot of kindling in very little time and with minimal effort. I'm not sure a rubber mallet will suffice, get yourself a metal lump hammer and it'll do the trick.I'm struggling to understand the negative reviews. Quite simply, this item is for chopping ALREADY split wood into KINDLING. Do not buy this item and expect it to split or dress large lumps of wood.

It's a simple, good piece of kit for splitting small logs and other timber to make kindling. My only gripe is that the blade cover is small and made of lightweight plastic - feels like it could easily get knocked off the blade, and would break if, say, it was stepped on or something dropped on it. A weightier steel cap would not get dislodged. All the photos on Amazon show it as having a different shape from the one I received, and it looks like it's made of steel not plastic. Also in reviewers' photos it looks like steel. The description on Amazon is unclear but there is no mention of any plastic parts - materials are described as 'steel'. This should be clearer.

Excellent for splitting kindling to make them go further. Not tried splitting larger logs.

I buy a mixture of hard and soft wood for a small wood burner. I split the logs to make kindling, pre-selecting logs which look like they will split more easily. This log splitter is much faster and safer than using an axe and mash hammer and i can easily make thin kindling probably in a third of the time. One suggestion is to get into a comfortable working position with the splitter secured to a large "round". The blade is on the small side so some experience is needed to decide the best way of splitting logs, experience soon gained. Larger version ordered for bigger logs. Well pleased!

Amazing for cutting kindling. Splits with ease, easy to sharpen after lots of use, great value for money. I fitted mine to the top of a spare log so it’s at a good height to save my back. Very sturdy once fixed down and makes light work of both hard and soft woods. One thing I would recommend is to wear gloves though as if your hand slips it’s easy to cut a finger on the blade

In the description it states the colour is green but it is orange. The blade cover does not clip on, just sits on top of the blade, so not secured.There was a metal tube in the box and some large washers which do not have any relevance to the tool.??However, l fixed it to the large log l had using the screws provided and followed the instructions in the video.It works really well and has made chopping my kindle much easier and safer than an axe.

I was using an axe to split kiln dried wood for my ooni pizza oven, which wasn't much fun and though I would try this doo-hickey. It's great, so much faster and easier that using the hand axe and far less chance of me losing a toe.

Nie do końca produkt zgodny z opisem. Miała być stalowa ciężka osłona ostrza a jest lekka plastikowa , która wcale się nie trzyma na miejscu tylko luźno i płytko siedzi. Poza tym w komplecie niewyjaśnione w instrukcji podkładki i rurka stalowa. Samo ostrze ok , ostre i wygląda solidnie. Szkoda tylko że osłona nie jest taka jakiej się spodziewałem

Passt! Schnelle Montage, Schrauben sind gut, hält, ist scharf. Das Abdeckungsteil hätte wegen mir auch aus Gummi passgenau zur Schneide sein können. Spaltet sehr gut. Hartholz, Buche, Eiche muss man immer extra testen, da scheiden sich die Geister. Aber normales Fichtenholz: Einwandfrei!Nachtrag: Schade, dass draußen kein schöneres Wetter ist. Das macht Spaß und ich versuche ständig, die Holzscheite noch feiner zu bekommen. Das Ding ist Gold wert.

Behändig liten vedklyv.Jag har den för att spänta tändved till spisen. Går alldeles utmärkt och lätt just på grund av att den är liten och smidig.Fastskruvad på en regelstump står den stadigt och används på golvet bredvid spisen.Tar liten plats.
