Honestly I’m blown away! Definitely 5 stars!! It’s super sturdy and I’ve looked at a lot of other ones and this one was priced very well. I expected it to be kind of cheap but I was wrong. It’s very sturdy. It’ll probably hold my body weight. It’s nicely powder coated easy installation. it would’ve been easier with another person, but one person can install it.. if you got a four Runner it’s a must buy. It’s definitely heavy duty. You will not be disappointed.

Heavy duty panels and tray. Hardware not so much. Button heads are not a good choice for things that need to be made tight. The bolts provided tore up pretty easily when torquing down. Fit is good but not perfect. One of the Molle panels is slightly mis-shaped which caused the rack to have a noticeable gap on the drivers side towards the front. Had to fit everything loose then tighten things up in order to maintain anything close to square. That required a lot of unnecessary crawling around in the back of the vehicle. Fit was close, but again not perfect. Looks decent but close inspection shows the fit is not that great. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a higher end unit. More cost but better value for the money. Installation was not that easy due to mis-shapen molle panel and bunch of small bolts, nuts and washers. All thrown together in one bag. The anti rattle foam was a nice touch but instructions were very vague about what went where. Update 09/03: Seller reached out to me regarding the poor fitment and offered me a full refund if I returned the item. Well after all that work, I am not about de-install, re-pack and ship back. So that offer was pretty much pointless. However they did ask for a photo of the poor fit, so I attached it to my review

I LOVE THE HOOKE SHELF IT IS VERY STURDY AND LOOKS GREAT. ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THE SMALL SCREWS SERVE NO PURPOSE. THEY ARE TOO SMALL FOR ALL HOLES SHELF I USED THEM ANY WAY BECAUSE I HAD NO CHOICE. MAYBE THEY WILL SEND ME SHORT LARGER SCREWS TO REPLACE THE SMALLER ONES. THAT IS THE ONLY NEGATIVE I CAN SAY. I HIGHLY BELIEVE YOU SHOULD GET ONE YOUR 4RUNNER

3rd party so Amazon won’t help you if you need a refund. This product came without many fasteners needed to fix the job. They did end up reimbursing me for the amount I had to spend at the hardware store. But the product is solid and feels very secure. I’m leaving off one star for lack of product Quality Control. For the price they should be better at making sure all the pieces show up. If it weren’t for the only YouTube video showing the installation process, I would have never known how to install with the lack of instructions. NOT MODULAR AT ALL - Limited Molle had to pull and push a few spots but overall ok. Didn’t just slap together Value for money: if you are only looking for a shelf then yes. It does free up some space but next time I’d just spend a few more bucks for a more modular system. Ease of installation: No Functionality: only a shelf really and can throw a couple things on the molle. It does hold a lot of gear on top. Look: Looks great. Helps with space.

These are super heavy duty and amazing quality. Kinda hard to install your self but for the money it’s so worth it. It was exactly what i was looking for and more. They even included foam to help with rattling. i heard 0 rattling on my last wheeling trip with all my gear. Very satisfied

I don’t leave reviews often but felt like I had to with this shelf. I put it in my 2011 4Runner limited and it fits and works as advertised. Like many of the other reviews it talks about the lack of clear instructions, I can confirm this to be true. It was very difficult and took a lot longer than it should have taken due to the lack of clear instructions. For this I took off a star. The other star I took away was due to the washers they give you are too small and go through the holes they are meant to prevent the bolt head from going through. Unlike the other reviews reporting missing hardware, I did not have this issue as I counted and confirmed that I had all the pieces before I started so that was not the issue of the washers being to small. Do yourself a favor and buy a box of (1/4” black flat washers) and double stack the washers they give you with the ones you buy. I do love the rack once it was installed, but strongly disliked installing it…

The box is very heavy, I'm not sure the installation will last by only being held up by a couple of screws that are going into pre existing holes that were used for tie down straps and clothing hooks. I didn't open box and started the return process only to find out that I am responsible for the return shipping....wait, what? How am I paying for the return shipping when I already paid for the initial shipping? So now I dont know what I'm going to do, risk damaging my 4Runner when the weight finally gets the better of the small bolts holding it up or pay for the shipping....again.. or go thru with the return. I wasn't going to give it any stars but I gave it 1 star just for the fact that in truck accessories heavy usually mean quality but I cant confirm because i still haven't opened the box. Not happy in Tampa Florida!
