My baby needed to upgrade to a flow 3 but I was using the old version which ones would be comparable to a flow 3 from the old version?

I would say 1. My daughter used old version flow 1 and the comparable size of the new version was flow 3. But the flow of the new version nipple is terrible. Baby sucks and sucks and barely gets milk out. I don’t know what they changed something that was good.

How long can it be used?

Until your baby needs a faster flow or until there's a tear in the hole. You should inspect daily for wear and tear

Will these nipples work with Phillips anti-colic bottles without the anti-colic valve that comes with said bottles?

If you are asking about using these nipples for the Avent Anti Colic with the green bill, yes they actually do fit! It seems all Avent bottles are interchangeable! I use both with my baby! I prefer the natural over the green bill due to leaking!

New Version Terrible!

The new version does not allow milk to flow as previously. Even with moving to a #2 nipple (compared to #1 of the old version), our baby sat there frustrated for half an hour, not able to get milk out. Editing a year+ later to say that we ended up LOVING this version. Once baby got the hang of it, the nipple did an excellent job helping baby self-pace (as naturally would happen). He just needed to get use to the effort involved and we needed to move up a level.

These work wonders. They do a great job of controlling feeding and the system as a whole is really nice: easy to clean and i like that there bottles in a number of sizes and shapes that this works with
