Bought this 1 1/5" LED pool light to replace an old Fiberstars fiber optic light that's been dead for years. The cost to replace with a like product was very expensive and its older technology. Started looking for alternatives and found several 1 1/2" nicheless LED options. I found this Life Bulb pool light and it seemed like a good purchase with the provided warranty. I was expecting the install to be challenging as I've never replaced one before. Prior to pulling the old fiber cable out I tied on a pull string so that i could fish the new lights wire to the junction box. While I read the directions which were clear, I didn't need to refer to them for the simple install. I light works great, I can't believe I put this out for so long.

Bought 2 of these to replace Pentair multi color lights. These work well but in my installation I ended up having to remove the Rubber seal that came with the lights because they would not completely seat with the ones that were included. But after I cut the white rubber seal off, they went into the sockets fine and a quarter turn locked them in. Be careful with the new lights during install so that you don’t break off a locking tab on the back of the new lights during install. They are a little delicate. I broke one of the 4 on the new lights. It still seated but would have been better with all 4. About a week after I replaced 2 of my 3 pool lights, my remaining Pentair light failed. Not sure if it was because I had two new and one old or what. But I ended up having to buy a third light. Have to think they need to all be the same to work properly. Overall happy with the purchase. Make sure you have a long enough snake line and tie it off at the source when installing.

I almost never write reviews on Amazon — honestly, ever — but these lights from No More Green Technologies deserve it. My pool is about eight years old, and the original Pentair lights began failing ridiculously early. By year two they would shut off within minutes, like they were shorting out. By year three, 4 out of 6 had completely died. By year five, none of them worked, most were rusted, and one had corroded so badly it basically disintegrated when I tried to remove it. For what those lights cost, the failure rate was unbelievable. Replacing them with these 1.5" LED lights was one of the easiest upgrades to my pool that I’ve ever done. I used a fish tape and pulled all six lines myself — would’ve gone faster with a second person feeding the cord, but still totally doable solo. Every light powered up instantly, no flicker, no weird color issues, and absolutely no water leaks. My pool actually looks better now than when it was brand new. The brightness and color clarity are a huge step up from the Pentair units. What really sold me was the Lifetime Replacement Program. After dealing with big-brand lights that barely last past their one-year warranty, it’s refreshing to buy from a company that clearly believes in their product. You can feel the difference in the build quality too — no flimsy plastic, no cheap metal that corrodes immediately. Bottom line: If you’re tired of replacing overpriced name-brand lights every couple of seasons, stop wasting money. These lights are a massive upgrade over Pentair and the other “big” pool brands (at an affordable price). I wish I had switched to No More Green Technologies years ago. -J

Great product and price, installed myself, perfect fit for my old globrite pieces of junk. After my experience with replacing multiple pentair globrites I’m hoping these last much longer. Love that they have a warranty.
