Holds (only) 3-4 acoustic guitars really well!
Assembly was easy (don't tighten any of the nuts until all the screws are in place). Stand seems rock solid and folds nicely for transportation. Great stand. Just don't expect to stand more than 3 acoustic guitars unless you are very careful about taking them in and out. If you orient 2 acoustics face to face on the right side placing the necks in the the first two slots and two more acoustics face to face on the left in the last two slots, leaving the middle 3rd slot open, you CAN get 4 on the stand with reasonable clearances. In a pinch, you COULD put 5 acoustics on the stand but they are way too close together for frequent or easy access. At a gig, I'd limit the stand to three acoustics. For everyday use at home, the limit is four. For infrequent use or storage, you can fit five. I'd think it would hold 5 electric guitars fine but acoustics are just too wide for the space allowed. If you need to frequently stand five guitars, consider the ProLine PLMS7 7 Guitar Folding Stand, Black or the Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase, Black . If you need to stand five or more hard working acoustics, get two racks. I like the design. I'm buying a second rack for the rest of my instruments.

Better than separate stands!
I had two separate guitar stands, from different manufacturers. When I bought a third guitar, I didn't know where to place a third stand. Because these stands use a tripod-like construction, they use up quite some floor space. This Proline 5-guitar stand seemed like a better option, especially at the price.Yes, the product needs to be assembled. The first time I tried, everything was crooked. But after careful aligning and tightening all the screws at the same time, it all lined up.I was hoping to place the stand against the wall. But if you do that, the guitar headstocks will touch the wall. So, I just placed the ProLine stand a little away from the wall. Even then, one guitar's neck cannot be leaned fully. This is not a top quality product, but it serves me very well and the price is right.

Great stand aside from assembly issues
Be aware that this product requires assembly. It is a fairly straight forward process BUT the alignment on some of the assembly holes is a bit off and it requires some patience to get everything to fit correctly. That said, if you are at least somewhat handy you can work through the assembly issues in around 40 minutes or so. Once the unit is put together, it is a very solid and sturdy stand with no wobble to it. It folds for easy transport so setting it up and taking it down is instantaneous. I find it far superior to single guitar tripod stands in both stability and convenience. And the reasonable price point definitely makes this stand a good value.

sturdy parts but terrible design, overall not good
I purchased this so I could put my bass, my electric, my acoustic, and my banjo together in one place confortably. The reviews were ok and the price was right, so I went ahead and bought it. It came well packaged and secured by styrofoam blocks. Two major complaints, which I feel warrants this thing only getting two stars. One, it came with the wrong amount of screws and lock washers. The instructions only had pictures, no words, but they did have quantities and there were insufficient screws to secure the upright to the base. Luckily, the included hex wrench fit perfectly into the gap, so it's holding it together. Two, when the thing is assembled, it barely stands up by itself. The padding on the pieces is adequate to protect the guitars, but just to make the stand stay upright, the guitars need to go in at almost a 45 degree angle. Would not recommend, I'll be leaving it in the dumpster when I move in a few months.

Odd, they have changed the design
I love Pro Line stands. I have 2 seven space stands and a three space stand. The sevens were a little too big, the three too small for my current configuration onstage. So I bought a five space. The design is different, it doesn't lean back as far, so my electrics with strap locks don't sit in the stand as steadily. It works fine for acoustics and my odd collection of other stringed instruments (cuatros and bouzoukis). But it doesn't fit my electrics as well as the other stands. One wonders why?

Excellent Guitar Stand...
I had to send two different curved multiple guitar stands (same manufacturer and same model) back because of shabby packaging. They were not purchased from Amazon. Pieces of those stands were scattered throughout the box, so I wasn't even sure all pieces were enclosed since there were no instructions. I decided to try this stand, and the experience was totally different. It was packaged neatly, no loose parts sliding around in the box, and instructions were included. It is an excellent stand for my studio use--guitars are handy and easily accessible. This stand is great for anyone wishing to store their guitar cases out of site until gig time. It does not take up much space, and it looks good. I think you will be happy with this stand.

Perfect...!
I was looking for a 5 guitar stand, and after reviewing all the negative reviews for these stands, I still decided to give it a shot as I already have a RockStand 7 Guitar stand, that looks like this one...Everybody complains about stability and that it doesn't stands up straight... All you have to do is bolt all screws in position (not tighten yet), put in on the floor, and once it is straight, start to completely bolt all screws and it will be good to go...I have a 5-string bass and 4 electric guitars (2 with their tremolo bars), and they fit perfectly on a small corner of my home studio.I would definitely recommend it.
