What are the ingredients?

The active ingredients in these drops is Isopropyl Alcohol 95%, in 5% Anhydrous Glycerin.

Can it be used preventive?

Dear Sedroc,Thank yoou for your inquiry. I don't see this product being very useful before a dive since it's main job is to help dry out your ears after a swim. Please let us know if we can further help in any way. Thank you,CamilleHouseofScuba858.581.2800

I don't know but I use a cap of alcohol or peroxide (mix half and half in half a cap)-- a quick rinse and it dries my ears out and I don't have problems. It was recommended by my ear doctor and I'm 70 yrs old and have done this for 50yrs.

What is the shelf life of the drops? How long can they be used after opening? How many doses are in the bottle?

I use the drops infrequently and only after I swim in the pool or take dip in the ocean. I think there are many dozens of applications in the fairly large bottle. I keep the drops in the refrigerator until needed to extend shelf life.
