This charger for the PlayStation portal is somewhat expensive compared to alternatives out there. The price though i think is reflected in the build quality. Very sturdy and light weight with great rubber grips to give your portal a hug whilst being charged. The light bar is vibrant and can be changed but a light touch to the back of the unit. Sometimes it’s worth paying the extra for a quality product.

Historically I had issues with another brand losing connection on the spring pins, usually lasting around 6 months. This does seem better but only time will tell. The LEDs are a great gimmick, and if you turn them off it flashes to sat you've connected, disconnected and fully charged, which is enough for me. Seems like a good quality build and the socket being beneath the unit protects from accidental damage. I like it so far, seems to be worth the money.

It’s pretty good for the PS portal. It’s not too bad. Does the job the thing you put in the back of the ball? A little bit hard to get help but otherwise yeah it’s fine.

Would be perfect if you could turn off the led lights.

Perfect for my ps portal. No problems with it at all. Just remember before buying it is a usb-c connector.

Excellent charger. Nice hefty weight so no chance of it tipping over. Chargers the portal fairly quickly too. To Marc, who also reviewed and marked it down because the lights are too bright at night, if I you swipe down on the back of the unit stand you can change the colour of the lights or turn them off altogether, so not really an issue. The only thing I wish was that powerA sold a compatible female “magsafe” adapter for a USB C cable so you don’t have to remove the dongle from the portal if you want to travel with the portal and don’t went to take the entire charging base with you.

The device is so beautiful and functional! I saw some reviews before buying that people were saying it doesn’t charge to 100%, I’m using it for more than 2weeks now and every time it charged the device completely! So no worries on that if you plan to buy. The color is the exact same color as ps5 and controller so you can’t tell that it’s from another brand, same goes for the material and feeling. The RGB light is so cool and can be changed or turned off and the blue tone is the exact blue tone of the brand😅 All in all everything works perfectly and I recommend it for sure! From a tech person who cares so much about detail and aesthetic 😃

Ich habe mir die Charging Station für die PlayStation Portal geholt und bin wirklich zufrieden damit. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und die Station steht stabil auf dem Tisch, ohne zu verrutschen. Das Einsetzen der PlayStation Portal klappt problemlos und sie sitzt direkt richtig in der Ladestation. Besonders praktisch ist, dass man einfach abstellen kann und sie sofort lädt, ohne jedes Mal ein Kabel anstecken zu müssen. Auch optisch passt die Station gut zum restlichen Setup und wirkt insgesamt sehr aufgeräumt. Gerade wenn man die Portal öfter nutzt, macht das den Alltag deutlich komfortabler. Für mich ein sinnvolles Zubehör, das genau das tut, was es soll. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Fantastic product!! I originally bought a 3rd party dock. That one didn't work out very well and ended up being returned. This one, however, is a real keeper!! Great design, awesome lighting and it's a little heavy to keep it stable. You CAN turn the lights off completely if you choose to, which I did but I may turn them back on occasionally because they look great. Charges really fast at about 1% per minute by my estimate. Plus, it's officially licensed by Sony, which means it must be good if it gets their stamp of approval. Don't waste your time or money on ANY other PS Portal charging dock. THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!!!
