as retired chef i've used many hand potato peelers through the years but this one has got to take the prize for most stupid design. the swivelling blade is dificult to control. don't know why it swivels because it only makes peeling more difficult. i'm going to have to jam the blade with something to stop this. only bought it because of good reviews. meanwhile, had to dig out my old peeler from the trash for sunday dinner. unless you have the patience of a saint, leave well alone.

I've never been disappointed with a Zyliss item. I bought this to replace my previous Zyliss peeler that was borrowed and never returned.It's a little disappointing that it's not the rounded ergonomic style I had before, but it works just as well as my last one and it's easy to hold and manipulate.Be careful though! These are sharp. Super sharp. It requires no effort to use and will take the skin off anything it comes into contact with. Treat as cautiously as you would a venomous snake!

It's a good design and peel perfectly all sort of fruits and veggies though the previous design seemed to better fit in hand. This version has sort of a bulky handle, it still works well and is comfortable with my large hands however I wouldn't recommend this product for someone with small hands. The product doesn't seem to lose its colour when washed in the dishwasher which would be an improvement compared to the previous design that lost its red colour relatively quickly. The plastic just below the insertion of the metallic cutter is a bit difficult to reach for hand washing but putting the tool in the dishwasher from time to time will remove all residues.

I was disappointed with this product as I expected it to be considerably better than it was. I used to have a very good peeler but it disappeared hence, buying this one. The quality was good but there it ended for me. I found it difficult and frustrating to use and began to think 'it must be me' because the carrots I was trying to peel looked such a mess. It was better with cucumber but I'd specifically bought it for peeling carrots. I gave up in the end as I was rapidly losing the will to live.There is a happy ending to this tale of woe however, as miraculously, the lost peeler turned up so all is well in the peeled carrot department! 😊 So, it wasn't me, it was definitely the peeler!

Blunt. Doesn't Cut the cabbage just rugs it up and tears. I bought a same simple wide brand at the same time and that one is perfect. Trying to return Zlyss they want to deduct a high royal mail return fee from the refund so opposite the law they dont want to pay the return post. It is useless to return this way.

This is the best peeler in the world! Had the previous Zyliss model which was amazing so actively looked for this to replace it as getting a bit old. Very sad to get excited about a peeler but it really peels veg so smoothly. You won't be disappointed!

Good quality purchased to replace a lost Zyliss peeler. Could not get exact replacement as out of stock and probably discontinued which is a shame as this one has a thicker handle and is therefore more difficult to use if you have small hands and/or a weaker grip. However the peeler is good quality.

It’s exactly what I wanted. Basic, easy to use , sharp enough and easy to wash. I must admit I like the guard on it as you do tend to just put it back in drawer and if my young grandchild were to go in the drawer whilst we’re cooking I know she is safe
