Nice camera
This was a replacement for a V1 camera that I dropped from about 12 ft. This one was quick to attach to my network and the resolution is better

Great camera
I have 3 cameras now. Picture quality is very very good, setup was easy. The cameras connect via wifi to a hub which then connects to your router via wifi. You can place the hub just about anywhere, the cameras connect easily. Wifi range is very good also. Setting up detection zones was a breeze and works flawlessly. The viewing angle is good with no distortion. Night vision is impressive. Sound quality is OK. I don't use the sound feature.

Doesn’t Record Locally— Needs A Subscription
My friends have Wyze cameras but not the WCO V2. I was happy the base unit connected to Ethernet and the other cameras were Bluetooth and I would have kept them if they actually worked like they were supposed to. The cameras can take up 256 gb micro SD cards, the base unit can only handle 32 gb (FAT32 format). In addition to the cameras (4 total) and base unit, I spent over $200 on micro SD cards (high endurance, HE). Without a subscription, the cameras are supposed to write 12s video to their respective micro SD cards which can be viewed on the app. According to my troubleshooting, Wyze took away this functionality even though Wyze clearly states this is how the cameras work without a subscription. Thumbnails are getting recorded to the cameras SD cards, not 12s videos. The videos are being recorded to the base unit. The base unit cannot be reviewed on the app. The micro SD card can only be viewed in a computer, which means being home and pulling the card to put in a computer. Luckily, I still have an old Mac laptop that can view the cards. This definitely defeats being able to view what is going on while away.To make matters worse, the Wyze app stopped sending event notifications within a week after being set up. I noticed it was still writing to the base unit, after I pulled the card from the base unit and put in my laptop. It wrote for three additional days with no notifications until I pulled all of the cameras preparing to return them. If the Wyze cameras had actually worked like they were supposed to, and apparently did a few years ago, I would have been very happy with them. Their current configuration is less than useful.

Easy to install, setup and use
Awesome camera. I have MANY Wyze cameras from wireless to wired to solar and these ones are my favorite. They’re so easy to set up and the battery life lasts quite some time. Mine lasted all winter in the frigid Northeast tundra without needing to be charged.

Suggest buying a Protection Plan when purchasing the Wyze Outdoor Cameras
My first set of Wyze Outdoor Cameras worked well for about 2 years. Then they stopped detecting movement. Wyze was not able to fix the problem. Fortunately I had purchased the Asurion Protection when I initially ordered my cameras and they covered my purchase cost. I then ordered the newer versions of the Wyze Outdoor Cameras. When the Wyze Outdoor Cameras are working, they do a good job.

Terrible battery life outdoors.
I have a couple of the V1 outdoor cams and love them. They both last 2-4 months outside in the Northeast where temps range from -10 to 100 degrees F.I bought the new version, v2, cam thinking it would be as good or better, but the battery dies with one or two days if the temperature is at all cold. It lasts for a week or two if it's warm out, but as soon as the temp falls near freezing the cam dies and drops off the network. Re-warming and charging it fixes it for a couple days, then the cold temps drain it again. Basically useless for an outdoor cam. Works great in a warm environment, but I'd still expect the battery charge to last AT LEAST as long as the older version does.Returned it. Going to try to find an old version to buy.Overall for Wyze: I love the cams. We have several.
