LEGO 42083 Technic Bugatti Chiron

There are plenty of reviews that detail what's so great about this build so I'll make the pros brief; Great presentation, packaging is brilliant and the numbering on the bags and boxes makes build really simple (much like the 911 GT3 RS) It's good fun building and seeing the finished product The small details are awesome, the W16 engine is really impressive, the moving parts remind you why these are so expensive Improvements: On the instruction book, I'd like there to be detail around the part you're building. For the price (when not on sale), it's a lot of money for a load of lego and a complicated instruction book, but I'd like to learn what part I'm building, just a small description every time you start another sub assembly aside from the car would be great, and youd learn loads about the assembly process for a car and how things work. Other than that I cant fault it, the online images dont do it justice, it looks great when you finish it and the quality of the product is awesome!

Where do I start. You will not throw away any of the boxes the set comes in because they are too beautiful. The print on the boxes is done in such way that you can have a view of either the front or the back of the Chiron depending on the way you lay them out within the main box. Stunning! Even the main box has silhouettes of previous Bugattis printed on the inside! The instructions are a sight to behold. Apart from the usual Lego quality, they have beautiful pictures of the real car as well as extra info on the whole assembly process. You can even listen a podcast while building the car. Car itself is full of details and therefore challenging. It has a working gearbox with paddle shifters! If you have the money and space for this car (it's massive), I highly recommend you go out and buy the set.

A very interesting and challenging set that looks great when completed and will certainly appreciate in value with time - there aren't many things you can say that about, but the higher cost Lego sets are one of them. There are six sub-boxes, each of which is a nice building session on its own. Inside the boxes are numbered bags, doing the numbers one at a time helps to avoid mistakes. As always with lego, lots of spares for the smaller parts - to the point where you wonder if you missed something...! All in all, an absorbing build with nice background details from the manual and supporting podcasts.

If you like Lego, then this is a must for any serious builder. Fantastic box, superb build and a thoroughly enjoyable build, spent many an hour building and would whole heartedly recommend buying one. This and the newer Lamborghini are definitely worth while. Bear in mind, they're not small when built, but do look very good.

Great car All pieces included and looks great finished

Really enjoyed building this model, and the finished product looks great. A couple of minor issues, the main one being missing parts. These were easily obtained by using the very easy to use Lego missing bricks procedure, although this process delayed the build process by a couple of weeks each time. This is the first Lego Set that I have had with pieces missing. The model was almost £100 cheaper through Amazon, which is by any standards a significant saving. I do wonder however if Lego were aware of sets with missing pieces and offloaded them at the lower price through Amazon. The other one relating to the model. The basic framework is very strong and sturdy, however some external items in particular the doors seem a little bit flimsy. All things considered I would recommend the purchase of this model, especially with the lower purchase price.

Great build. Detail is amazing. Will keep you busy for a week to complete if you send couple hours most days. Build carefully as mistakes take ages to rectify being a technic set. Will make you want the rest of the same scale technic cars.

Heel mooi set, zelfs twee dagen eerder dan verwacht geleverd. Let wel op: het set komt uit Duitsland, dus je krijgt een Duits/Engels instructieboekje. Nogmaals, voor de rest een heel mooi set.

Basterebbe una sola parola per descrivere questo modellino: MAGNIFICO. Ma non se lo merita. Merita invece una recensione degna di un prodotto di questa qualità. Premetto che come sempre LEGO ha fatto centro, ed ha creato a parer mio il più bel set Technic di sempre. Ma partiamo dal principio: la Scatola. Come noterete dalle foto si presenta con il disegno della Bugatti su sfondo blu, e nella parte posteriore ci sono altri dettagli del set. Una volta tolti i sigilli ed aperta, mostrerà al suo interno altre 6 scatole, che formeranno la parte anteriore o la parte posteriore (basta girarle) del veicolo. I libretti di istruzioni sono ben 2, di circa 300 pagine l'uno e sono estremamente chiari e precisi. All'interno delle 6 scatole troverete una serie di buste numerate, dalle n.1 alla n.13, che vi consentiranno di assemblare il tutto. Il modellino completo è enorme, bellissimo e fa la sua figura se esposto. Misura 58 cm di lunghezza, 27 cm di larghezza e 18 cm di altezza. Tra le funzioni di cui è dotato meritano una menzione i pistoni del gigante motore funzionanti, il cambio ed il volante funzionante. Unica pecca che posso trovare sono le sospensioni anteriori che se schiacciate di bloccano a causa del peso non indifferente della Bugatti. Per il resto questo set ha solo dei PRO, quali le dimensioni enormi, lo spoiler... e poi ragazzi... stiamo parlando di una Bugatti Chiron !!!! Il tempo di assemblaggio è sulle 10 ore. Io personalmente ne ho impiegate 9 e 30, spartite in 3 giorni. Se posso darvi un consiglio, montate il tutto con calma, perché alcuni passaggi sono delicati e necessitano di particolare attenzione, onde evitare di ritrovarsi un modellino inutilizzabile alla fine. Per quanto riguarda la consegna, Amazon come sempre non delude. Il pacco era imballato alla perfezione e la scatola era intatta senza nessun danno (e su questa cosa ci tenevo molto tanto che ho chattato con un operatore Amazon). Ho ordinato il pacco di Lunedi e già di Martedì mi è stato consegnato, quando in realtà la consegna era prevista per Mercoledì. In conclusione che dire... Il prezzo non è di certo economico, ma per la qualità complessiva ne vale decisamente la pena. Amazon inoltre già la fa trovare ad un prezzo più basso rispetto al Lego Shop, con la possibilità di ulteriore sconto. Inoltre acquistandola, avrete tra la vostra collezione il cosiddetto "Lego da Investimento" che potrebbe fruttarvi molto più di quanto speso una volta che il set uscirà di produzione (la Bugatti è uscita nel 2018 ed il ritiro dovrebbe essere ormai prossimo).

Daddy's toy... the build is sturdy compare to other Lego (Im looking at you SW UCS). The technicalities is awesome with V16 replica, you cant go wrong.

An exquisite piece of real engineering replicated in Lego, what more could you want! Excellent and enough to keep an adult (or child) busy for weeks.
