Jamaican Style Patties, Unbaked (Spicy Beef, 1 Case)

I love beef patties. I used to eat them almost every day when I lived in NY, but then I moved to the West Coast where there's a much smaller Jamaican/Caribbean population and much harder to find a good spot for Caribbean food. I searched far and wide for a store I could get my daily beef patty fix from but the few I found, their beef patties just didn't taste right at all. So I started searching online hoping I would find someone, anyone, who shipped decent beef patties cross country. I think I screamed for joy when I found these Caribbean Food Delights patties because I knew from back in the day that they'd be on point. (Juicii & Tastee also have great patties but good luck finding them outside of Jamaica or NYC). Now, almost 3 years later I have been ordering a box of these every time my last box is finished. The first time you order you may be worried about the price, over $125 (+ shipping) ain't cheap, but when you bake up the first batch and sink your teeth into that flaky crust and the juicy, perfectly seasoned ground beef paste hits your tongue, you'll appreciate that you bought them. Also, with a pack of 50, it comes out to only like $2 or $3 per patty (cheaper than the bland beef patties at my closest Caribbean store!). I am writing this review now, after all these years because I want to highlight what happened on my last delivery and how professional Caribbean Delights are. Despite shipping to me, which is about as far as you can get from NY, I have rarely had a case with broken or defrosted/unfrozen patties from them, they package these securely! But unfortunately, my last pack shipped during a heat wave and I guess some "not too clever" delivery men left the box outside a little too long during transit, so my patties arrived completely defrosted and were even starting to go bad with a smell. I told Caribbean Delights what happened, expecting the worst, but instead they immediately sent another pack which arrived in perfect condition. Caribbean Food Delights clearly cares deeply about their product and about their customers. That's why I'll continue ordering a box of these until they open up shop here in Cali!

So good. Flaky and spicy,but not hot. Absolutely delicious. I put 2 each in a Ziploc bag for storing in the freezer. $165.00 for 50 patties is a great deal.

The Jamaican pies arrived in a timely manner. They were packed well and arrived in good condition. I ate 3 immediately. They are good but I like the ones I was getting in S. Florida better. I can't remember what brand they were though. I don't think they are worth $178 including the shipping. Probably won't order them again, however, nothing ventured nothing gained. Thank You Amazon for offering them!

Although flavorful. The meat stuffing need to feel like real chicken/beef. It has lots of ground up pieces of meat that seem like their using the cheapest blend. Doesn't taste like we're getting the best cuts of meat.

The patties came frozen in a box. Spicy just the way our family likes them. I took the patties out of the box and separated them into a dozen each in a gallon ziplock bag and they held up well. Did not find any broken. Will definitely order them again. By the way they are eating them, I'll be ordering again real soon.

The authenticity of the patties were flavorful and refreshing to order.

We get these annually, and they get eaten so quickly. May need to order them more often.
