Stair Nosing, Rubber Edging Guard Trim Self Adhesive, Vinyl Staircase Step Edge Protector for Outdoor & Indoor(10 FT, White)

These were perfect for my needs. I used them to cover the nose of basement stairs that I used to cover the treads and risers with LVP flooring I had left over from the kitchen install. I uses a liquid nails adhesive to anchor the LVP and let it dry 1 day. Then I cut and applied the nosing. I had concern it would not hold tight, but it's been a week of everyday traffic and It has been fine. It is flexible and cuts easily and the adhesive is very good. Make sure you have it positioned correctly before you apply it. It sticks immediately. I highly recommend it.

Workable product

The adhesive is very strong so it's easy to apply without having to stand on it or keep something heavy on it overnight while the adhesive settles in. After cutting it to desired length, I simply removed the adhesive backing and applied it onto tile stairs and it was literally peel and stick. It was easy to cut with regular scissors and application was a breeze. I with it had a little more cushion to protect kids but it may become a trip hazard. The Elvone Stair Nosing is non-slip, and provides a little bit of protection from sharp edges of your stairs. Great product that comes in a big roll.

The Elvone Stair Nosing is a top quality item...(I didn't even know that stair nosing was a word)!I knew that stair nosing existed, but I didn't know what it was called.We just finished our annual back porch stair painting and wanted to give some extra protection where the wear was really showing before painting. That just happened to be on the stair nose...it was showing raw wood before painting.We also have some stairs that don't have a complete length of wood across the entire spread of the stair...extra pieces added to complete the length (see first photo). By adding the stair nosing, we are able to hide that joint when looking from the top (second and third photo).These stairs are also exposed to rain and can puddle and retain wetness...slippery and unsafe.Adding this stair nosing has increased the safety and is a big mitigator against slips and falls. It remains to be seen if this is a tripping hazard. It does not raise very high above the surface of the wood stair and the stair depth is such that placing a foot behind the nosing is not easy to do...so I think that tripping is a low probability.The kit comes with packages of cleaner wipes that are used to "prime" the surface before application. We found there not to be enough of these wipes to cover the entire 40' of nosing, we ran out about 1/3 of the way complete. The rest was applied without the cleaner/primer and it stuck just fine...our surface was two days old freshly painted treated wood.I can't say enough good things about this product.It improves the appearance.It gives a big safety improvement to a slippery situation.

I always referred to this type of product as slip pads, but there is a difference. The pads I used previously only covered the top of the stairs; This wraps around the top and front of the stairs. I guess that's why they call it stair nosing. I will never go back to regular slip pads. The appearance of the Stair Nosing from Elvone has an OEM look to it. Like the stairs was built with it installed already. This product is not just for your workshop. Trim the pieces nicely and it fit right in with your home decor. Adhesion was quick and strong and grip is obviously there. Even sprayed some water on it and still had plenty of grip. Good for us since we like to wear socks around the home. This will give the kids that extra grip as they run up and down the wood stairs. As with any durable product of this nature there is an odor when you first open the package. I can honestly say it was minimal compared to many other rubber type products I have bought. The odor also dissipated fairly quick leaving no smell behind.Hats off to Elvone for both appearance and functionality. I love this product.

I needed a stair nose guard that wraps around the front of rounded stairs. Most stair nose have a preshaped L shape that won't form and stick on my stairs. I won't have that problem with these. They are wide and flexible enough to wrap around the front and the strong adhesive keeps them in place. The dark black is easy to clean but also doesn't show dirt but catches dog hair. Daily vacuum or sweeping will keep them clean and lasting.

This rubber edging guard is a great way to protect the edge of a step or stairs. The edging is flexible and easy to work with. The adhesive is very tacky so it adheres well to surfaces. It is thick so I have no doubts this is a long lasting product that can withstand a lot of traction.

Works great. Nice and thick for protection. Adhesive is holding, so it seems quality.
