These are solid M2A1 “.50 cal” cans. Well made and well-packaged for shipment. I liked that they were available in black and with no logos or brand labels on them. They are powder coated, not spray-painted. I think they also have zinc phosphate primer. One minor thing…on some of the cans, I could tell from the imprint on the gasket that the rear wall by the hinge was not sealing properly. I pulled the gasket out and swapped (rotated) front and rear and reinstalled from front to rear while pulling gently so that there was extra “slack” and the rear part of the gasket would sit as far back in the lid as possible. After closing and latching and checking later, I could see that the rear wall impression was centered on the gasket, as were the three other walls. There is slop built into the hinge, so if you want a perfect seal, eyeball and make sure that the lid is centered (left and right) before securing the latch.

Outstanding product and fantastic product. The seal is exactly what you need for keeping everything inside dry. Great storage for my ammo and my meds. Positive locking Great condition provides all I need and I can stack them up for minimal space.
