Update. My 8yr old’s board broke the first time we took it to the beach. Our trip was just over 30 days past delivery date since I ordered it in advance for our vacation, and now we can’t even exchange it. Spent a little more for better quality and now my child has to watch her siblings boogie board without her for the rest of vacation. Amazon did back it up and offered a refund, plus my 2nd board survived. I'm upping it to 3 stars.My 8 & 10 yr olds love these boards. So far they’ve had great fun “surfing” in our pool. Cant wait to test them out in the Atlantic a few weeks from now!

I bought these to try to avoid paying high prices for a decent slick bottom board at the beach (Outer Banks, N.C.)Then I found the exact same ones at the discount beach goods shop for about $16 less. And to confirm they were literally the same, the factory code printed on the label was the same, only the logo on the board was different and I preferred the one sold in the beach shop at the much cheaper price. Other than that, the description is accurate and these are decent boards, the kids will have fun on them. But I could have saved about $50 by buying three boards from the discount beach store which seems really backwards to me. This Amazon seller is making an undeserved markup.

This body board is pretty smooth and I can ride the waves pretty well. However, I can't really recommend it since the wrist strap is awful. It is not stretchy at all, so it can really snap your wrist and arm hard if a wave yanks your board away. The part that loops around your wrist has decent velcro holding it on, but there's no padding so it can rub your wrist skin raw if you try to use it all day. Also, the second time I used this board (only about 3 - 4 hours of riding the waves), the part where the wrist loop connects to the board strap broke completely, and my board almost smacked into someone else. I was very disappointed with the strap, since a body board without a wrist strap is basically useless. I like the board part but I just can't recommend this with such an awful wrist strap.

I took this to Nayarit, Mexico & hit 5 of the 23 breaks there with it. A fantastic board for the amount it costs. I am 5'10" / 155lbs. I could have used about 2" more board for heavier , chest to shoulder high waves but this is perfect if you boogie with decent swim fins, as well. I didn't leave in sun long enough to permit blistering some others mention. I recommend a lot of wax to keep you stuck to it . This thing rocked.

The "heat sealed to prevent bubbling" is not adequate. I bought three (3) of these boards to take to the beach last week, and now after just 2 weeks of use, all boards have bubbled bad, and separating at the seam to the slick bottom. I am out of the window to return. :(

The board is perfect for our 10 year old. Catches waves like a pro, just always make sure you get the right size. Only downfall was the leash broke the 2nd time at the beach and he almost lost the board and couldn’t enjoy boogie boarding for the rest of our time at the beach. Now I have to spend more money for a leash.
