Should work well enough, it’s nice to have a kit that includes tools
I mainly judge polymer clay by two things - how bright are the colors, and how easy is it to work with straight out of the package. These aren’t the brightest boldest colors, but they’re a pretty good assortment of pastels and the color is solidly there. The clay only takes maybe twenty seconds or so to be pliable after working it with your fingers, so not as easy to use as Sculpey and a lot less time than the artist quality Fimo that crumbles while you try to wake it up for the first few minutes. One thing I’m not sure I like after playing with a chunk for a couple minutes is that there’s a sticky quality to the clay - that probably helps it adhere to itself when you want a crisp border between colors, so it could be a good thing from an artistry perspective, but it’s not a particularly pleasant sensation when working the clay with your fingers.

Decent beginner set!
For the price it's a great way to get started into a craft. You can't expect super high quality clay or anything, but enough to give you an idea if this is a hobby you enjoy, for sure. And plenty of tools and accessories to get you started! The booklet comes with a few step-by-step photo examples of things you can make, but nothing particularly helpful. Would recommend just looking up tutorials online for whatever you want to make.Others have posted closeups of all the tools already, so instead I wanted to highlight the color variety.I got the 58 color variant, so I got a two-layered box with the bottom layer being just clay, and the top having some more clay and all the accessories. It's a pretty convenient little box. And the larger variant I think just has an extra layer of clay. That said, the colors come all jumbled up and it's hard to visualize what range of colors you're actually getting. So naturally the first thing I did was sit down and attempt to put them in rainbow order. They're not perfect color ramps, and some of the colors are a bit too similar. But honestly it's not a bad range at all. But hopefully that helps someone with their decision. :)

Very good -- on its own terms
Let's get one thing out of the way: if you're expecting pro quality from this, you're going to be disappointed. Let's also admit, though, that if you need pro quality this probably isn't what you'd buy in the first place. Here's where I see it being useful.First off, this is a good kit for beginners. There's enough of everything -- clay, tools, jewelry bits n' bobs -- that someone who's just starting out can get their feet wet. While the quality of some things (especially the tools) is clearly cheap, there's also nothing here that doesn't work the way it's supposed to.If you're more experienced, this set still isn't a bad idea. You might toss the tools if you have nicer ones, or pass them along to someone else. But the variety of colors is great for when you only need a little something to make a piece pop, while the price point is such that if you want to experiment with new ideas without wasting money on the more expensive stuff, you can do that without feeling bad about it.Nothing can be all things to all buyers, and to its credit, I don't think this is trying to do that. That said, it does what it's meant to well enough that I'm comfortable recommending it.

Polymer clay kit
Great clay kit for beginners. There is a nice variety of colors. Clay is easy to work with, softens up after working with it for about a minute. It does leave a little bit of a sticky feeling on the fingers after a few minutes of working with it. Ordered for my teenage daughter and she loves it.

Fun as an intro for kids or adults brand new to polymer clay
This has an assortment of findings, and a very wide variety of colors. It should be noted that the amount you are given of each color is VERY SMALL. This means there are many kinds of projects that you simply couldn't do with this kit. If you are new to polymer clay work, though, it is a great way to try out making different kinds of things (earrings, key rings, phone charms) and to see what this clay is really like. I can't see it as something that would be bought after your beginning experiences, it would make more sense to buy bigger quantities of the colors you actually want to work with. But it is a nice, inclusive set particularly to give as a gift to someone who wants to try it out. Tools are including as well, so it's all you need to have a session with clay with a one or more people. The carrying kit makes it very compact, easy to take on a trip (this is a great thing to do on an airplane, for instance). Would not suggest for experienced users.
