National Parks Escape Room Game for Adults 1-8+ Players

We discovered these games recently, and my husband and I really enjoy them. The premise is a mystery to solve by first finding several clues, then putting those clues together to solve the mystery. What I really love about these games is the information about each location. We are working on Scotland now, and the game provides fun facts about places we visited several years ago. A great way to reminisce about our trip. Some of the puzzles are pretty easy, and some are really difficult. But the game includes hints for each clue and the answers to the separate clues so you can check your work. It does not include the final mystery answer. We are in our 70s, and we usually just work on 1 clue each night, but families may want to solve the entire puzzle in one session. We love that our minds are stimulated and we learn about each country as we play.

We enjoyed doing this for date night. It had varying levels of difficulty and when needed the clues were good. there are design issues which is why I'm writing a review (in the hope they see) 1. The Fanny Pack - what a waste, yes kinda fund, but basically useless waste after the game. it could be done in some other form. 2. The background on the stone tablet page is too dark, makes it hard to read your pencil writing. 3. for first-timers direct to start with one of the simpler puzzles so you don't feel bogged down at the get-go. 4. One of the puzzles expected you to magically know to find sometihng on another puzzle, that was unnecessarily frustrating. it could have been done in a better way than just assuming people would think to look at all the others. Otherwise, yes, we'll be doing more of these for sure!

We loved this puzzle game! We got it to play for our daughter's 30th birthday, as she has always been interested in visiting the National Parks around the US. The materials were beautifully designed, the clues were clever, and we enjoyed reading the historical facts about each park represented in the game. Some puzzles were easy, and some were very challenging for our group of 7 adults playing. A perfect mix so that everyone was satisfied with their game experience. We liked that we could choose how much of a hint we needed from the enclosed booklet: a nudge in the right direction, or a SHOVE! It was also a fun surprise that there were keepsakes included in the box. A nice memory for our birthday girl to keep. We turned it into a whole theme night - decorated our living room and dining room like an active campsite, (complete with tent, laundry line, sleeping bags and camp chairs!) roasted hot dogs in the fireplace for dinner, and then had a s'mores bar for dessert. Just an awesome evening! I highly recommend this game!

if you’re a fan of ‘exit: the game’ or ‘hunt a killer’ or you’re simply wanting something more difficult, the difficulty ratings on this game are inaccurate, and the game is not very mentally stimulating. we found the clues overly obvious. the only times we got stumped were by overthinking, because we didn’t think the answers could be so obvious. disappointing but it has beautiful artwork and the concepts have potential. not a complete waste of time, it was somewhat fun, but it definitely let us down.

Not at all what we expected. Clues were non existent and no directions were available even when going to the online hints. Very disappointing purchase for my husband’s birthday.

I bought this for my wedding anniversary. My husband and I absolutely loved it, and it took us a couple of hours to solve. It was laid out as ten different coded puzzles to solve, and I found them just the right level of challenging. Each puzzle was coupled with a piece of evidence from the mystery and read like a fun story. I was able to figure the puzzles out, but it wasn't too obvious. I didn't write on the materials, so I'm excited to share them with my kids ages 10-16. I am sure they will love them. Usually when my husband and I go out on a date, we spend about $50 or more, so staying home with this feels like saving money and having more fun.

Started playing as a family activity until the teenage boys made it a competition between the two of them to see who could solve the most puzzles. My husband tried to just watch, but it was too hard not to join back in. The puzzles are of varying difficulty, and they each require a different thinking style to solve them. There was one puzzle that forced all of us to work together to solve it. Oh no~ And the easiest piece of that to figure out seemed to be the most challenging for us. 😹 In all, the puzzles were both fun and challenging, and I definitely recommend it for a family night or a group activity. The pictures have nice color, the text is easy to read, and the paper is good quality. The only part we found disappointing is that it can only be played once. Which is kind of obvious because it’s a puzzle to solve and you’d already know the answer after the first time. But because we wrote on the pages - a lot- it can’t be played again by someone who hasn’t solved it. Although, if you put it in the perspective of cost for the activity and time rather than strictly a product, it’s a pretty good value. A complete win for us, as my high schooler already wants to know when we can get the next one.
