PetSafe Extreme Weather Insulated Flap Kit, Added Protection in Extreme Climates, Medium

I live in Florida and bought to help keep heat from rushing in. Works perfectly! Easy install on my existing Petsafe doggie door.

I should have read the reviews more closely. The thick plastic mounting piece that comes with this flap does not work with the pet safe door I have. I really just wanted a new plastic piece to screw the flaps together because mine had broken. I was told I would need to order the whole flap kit, so I did. When I saw the thick plastic mounting piece, I knew it wouldn’t work, but tried it anyway. Now, I can’t fit the outside flap and its plastic mounting piece in the door. I tried calling their customer service number, but the are open only on weekdays during work hours. So, I would have to take a morning off of work just to call and be told that I can’t get the part I need. I tried using their online chat, but it is useless. I’m not given the option to ask the questions I want to. It really shouldn’t be this difficult to replace a flimsy piece of plastic. I guess I’ll have to try and make something myself. Sending this one back. Please do a better job of supporting your product.

received the winter pet door flap yesterday, sooner than expected, quality looks very good, i have changed the regular flaps before so the ease of replacement should be no problem, looks durable enough, am sure it will work out just fine ,thank you

After posting this one of the other screw tops broke off. I ended up requesting a replacement and didn’t have the same issues. There were no instructions and I have to figure it out myself. The material is thick and will hold up well but the screw also broke in on of the slots and now the door is missing a screw because it won’t come out.

I ordered the medium and it did not fit my medium petsafe dog door. It was too big and would not stay closed.
