Fit perfectly in my HP 360 ENVY 15-u363cl laptop and was quick and easy to do. Shut off the laptop, unplug power adapter cord from the side of the laptop. Unscrew the base screws, mine were #1 Phillips head screws so use a #1 Phillips head screwdriver (follow the steps for your model in the VIDEOS & free to download service manual on the HP website). Be aware; on my model two screws are under the two rubber foot pads near the screen hinges. Carefully pry them off using a plastic scraper etc. they're glued on with double sided tape it looks like, and there are two more hidden screws under the 2 small silver oval Mylar plastic screw hole covers on the bottom base also. Then remove the rest of the #1 Phillips head screws which are clearly visible on my laptop model 15-u363cl. Then use a guitar pick, or plastic scraper to very carefully separate the keyboard cover from the base after removing all the screws. Go very slow, be patient and don't pry over connector holes (HDMI, USB, MEMORY CARD SLOT, INTERNET CABLE SLOT) you'll bend or break the very thin metal or plastic just above these connector holes. FYI I use a grounding mat and wrist strap I've had for 20 years to do this repair but you can do this without one. Disconnect the battery, keyboard, touchpad and keyboard light ZIF (ZIF = ZERO INSERTION FORCE) connector cables VERY carefully following HP videos and service manual. I propped my keyboard up in the air with a pencil to make it easier removing and re-connecting the ZIF connector cables. After VERY
CAREFULLY removing the battery, keyboard, touchpad and keyboard light ZIF (ZIF = ZERO INSERTION FORCE) connector cables lift the keyboard cover assembly off the base and carefully set it aside. Then VERY CAREFULLY remove the power ON/OFF printed circuit board ZIF (ZIF = ZERO INSERTION FORCE) connector cable from the OLD Power Button Board P/N 774599-001, then remove one #1 Phillips head screw from the OLD Power Button Board P/N 774599-001 and remove the circuit board by pulling it straight up out of the laptop base. Put the new GinTai Power Button Board Replacement P/N 774599-001 in the laptop base using the same alignment pegs molded into the base making sure it's all the way down without using too much force or you'll break it. Re-install the #1 Philips head screw snugly don't over tighten you'll strip the plastic threads. (IIRC threads were plastic but could be brass insert also). Then VERY CAREFULLY install the power ON/OFF printed circuit board ZIF (ZIF = ZERO INSERTION FORCE) connector cable to the NEW GinTai Power Button Board Replacement P/N 774599-001 and click the ZIF connector retaining bar back down to secure the ZIF connection. I suggest watching a YouTube video on how to properly disconnect and reconnect ZIF cables and the HP videos on their website for your particular model. Then VERY CAREFULLY reconnect the keyboard, touchpad and keyboard light ZIF (ZIF = ZERO INSERTION FORCE) connector cables and then the battery ZIF connector last. Then just snap down the keyboard cover all along the edges CAREFULLY and then flip the laptop over and reinstall all the screws and screw covers and your done. The new LED power light is a nice bright blue color now which I like better than the original white LED. It's only been about a week but my old power button circuit board is probably still good except the tiny switch broke off of it which I still have in case I might need it by re-soldering the switch back on and use it if this one ever breaks. Just don't press too hard on your power button or the switch will break off the circuit board eventually like it did on mine. Good luck, this GinTai Power Button Board Replacement P/N 774599-001 saved my laptop and from me buying a new laptop saving me lots of money and thousands of precious irreplaceable family photos and PDF files etc. I thought I lost when my laptop wouldn't turn on any more.
