I bought these to revitalize my Makita drill, and they did, but I soon realized I’ve been spoiled by the newer drills with twice the voltage. The batteries seem to be acceptable replacements, they charged up and powered the drill for the little that I used it - the Makita’s overload circuit kept kicking in and I remembered why I had bought a replacement drill with more power. I ultimately donated the drill and batteries to The Salvation Army so I cannot speak to their longevity.

The batteries arrived quick and were charged in the original charger. I’ve only used the drill for a short time and the battery seems to hold its charge. I’m satisfied with the purchase and recommend this sell and product looking for a low cost and longer lasting charge over the more expensive OEM replacement.

When I initially installed these batteries they would not work if they were fully inserted and the clasp closed, but after repeatedly installing and reinstalling they now work. I haven't used them in a project yet but did run each of them over 10 minutes which should be good enough for most of my tasks. Don't appreciate the repeated requests to write a review.

When inserting the fully charged battery replacement for my Makita 9.6 volt battery, I immediately smelled an electrical and plastic fire. The tool became very hot but I was able to extract the new battery but not before the total destruction of my cordless drill. So rather than just buy replacemen batteries I now have to replace the entire drill but fortunately, my shop is still standing. These replacement batteries may be a fire hazard so if you proceed to buy them, beware of the potential damage they may cause and be extra cautious when inserting them in your tool.

they worked great, accepted a full charge

I had 2 older Makita drills but no batteries as the older batteries we dead. Looking up on Amazon I found 2 new batteries and ordered them. Now rather than buy new drill By replacing 2 batteries I now have 2 working drills as well as my other one. Great purchase to buy 2 batteries and save 2 drills that could have been tossed to the trash now I am set with the older collared to be put to use.

Found old makita tools at garage sale but battery was unchargable, new batteries charged fine and tools now work great. Delivery was well ahead of promised date. Will deal again with Exmate.
