Unbleached Natural Sea Sponges for Artists 2pk, 5"-5.5", Painting & Crafts

I bought these to do some cloud effects on my bedroom walls and these were the only ones I could find that were decently sized for the price and gotta say, they are great. They soften up nicely in water, but still hold their shape, are big enough to do the effects I want (and also to hold onto). I also like the fact that the company sent me an email with care instructions for use and cleaning them. Good sponges and a good company to work with. I would happily use them again and recommend their products to other artist friends.

Usually it's hard to find lower-priced natural sponge that are good enough (and large enough) to be used in theatyrical scene painting. While they're a little smaller than the ideal, they are definitely larger than most others sold in their price range, and so far they have worked well and held up well.

Love, love, love these sponges! Humongous, as large as my whole hand, and hold a ton of water to moisten my larger watercolor paintings. So glad I passed over many smaller sponges until I found this - exactly what I wanted and lots more bang for my bucks too..

I was extremely happy with the sponges I received, they are very larger in size, as with all sponges you place them in water and they become perfect for bath time holding lots of water and soap. For artist, these are perfect more textured than other sponges I have purchased for art. These are more like nubby or grass like little fingers, making beautiful patterns, many open pores not just little circles as some sponges have. Tearing apart for smaller size for artist is preferred to dividing with scissors. Wonderful sponges will order here when the need arises for more.

The sponges were smelly like dead fish and when I washed them I felt a bunch of crap in the middle and it was like slimy garbage and ligaments and stuff. The one sponge I had to cut in small pieces to get rid of the middles stinky stuff and the other one I was able to get clean by just soaking, I googled how to and it said to use warm water and a tablespoon of baking soda and I left it to soak for about 6 hours then air dried in a strainer. It works good to paint with I was sponging a statue made of concrete and I threw it away when I was done because I only used a small piece and it got very dirty.

Great size, I use it in the shower, one soft, the other one firm. No smell. They didn’t come apart after getting wet. Great price and will buy again.

Arrived promptly and very happy with these sponges. Not easy to find good quality sea sponges in this 5”-6” size and at such reasonable cost for 2. These are large enough to fit comfortably in my hand. In fact, because there are 2, I cut one up to use on smaller areas and corners. I used these to decorate my walls to create a sponging effect and I love the textures these sea sponges created.

Prodotto ottimo, mi sono trovata benissimo, arriva come in foto e quella che ho scattato io ritrae una delle due spugne già utilizzata, lavata con acqua e riposta nel sacchetto, il risultato utilizzando una sola spugna alternando un beige e successivamente un marrone scuro è quello che ho riportato nella seconda fotografia (non sono una professionista 😅) sono molto soddisfatta

I bought the sponges to attempt an effect on my very bad plastered fireplace that was completely messed up by the so called professional plasterers. My idea was to paint the fireplace in the pastel pink I had chosen and to sponge rose gold paint on top so to give an metallic effect to the wall which would conceal hopefully humps and bumps of my bad wall. I must say I was nervous before starting the first sponging but you have to go for it, not put to much paint on and just learn as you go. The sponges were good To work with and I’m pleased with the result of the wall.

Sea sponges are great service was fast. The sponges are large enough to cut or tear apart for smaller jobs. Very happy with disorder will shock from them again and recommend them to my friends.
