You Get What You Pay For
When I was on the hunt for a cheap office chair, I knew I wasn't going to find anything that was as comfortable as a Lay-Z-Boy - especially for around a hundred dollars - so, I have to cut this chair a little bit of slack. The reason why I chose it is because, while on YouTube and Twitch, I saw a few people with this chair and didn't hear anyone complaining about it. And, it looked okay for a gaming chair. Now, that I think back at it, some of those people really didn't look comfortable or relaxed in their chair. But, everyone's level of comfort is different. I've had my chair for less than a month and early on, I had regrets...At first, the chair wouldn't tilt back and let me get cozy in it. I think it was stuck or something, so I used a pry bar (actually my landlord's pick axe) to "loosen it up" a bit. To be honest, it didn't seem to budge no matter how hard I pulled and pushed, so I modified it to give it more tilt. But! I think the pry bar may have worked, because when I went to sit in it, I really thought I was going fall backwards and had to catch myself. But, it turned out great. I'm leaning back and it's taking more pressure off my bottom, so the seat cushion actually feels better now.I didn't make these changes until about a week of sitting in this chair. I'm glad I did, because I was going to order another more versatile chair right before I had these ideas to try.Plus, the "headrest" (or padding) they put behind your head is a nuisance. This was ticking me off too. I thought I was over-reacting and should embrace how these racing style gaming chairs were built, but it was putting pressure on my neck and pushing my head forward. And, the fact that it didn't tilt back compounded the problem. I couldn't sit in this chair for more than hour, and I hated it. Now that I'm able to lay back in this chair, the headrest feels great. This is how life is supposed to be.The other discomfort was (and is) this "hump" at the front of the seat. You have to spread your legs to be comfortable or use a foot rest to raise your legs above this hump. Sometimes, I use a box to rest my feet on, sometimes, I use the base of the chair and rest my feet on that. The downside of working with your legs spread on the base is: depending on how large you are or how you lean, you may feel one or both of the lower brackets digging into the back of your legs. You can possibly solve this problem by adding a cushion - which you may want to do anyway if you plan on sitting in this chair (or almost any chair) long periods of time.I used to work in a call center as a customer service rep and saw quite a few cushions although most us didn't have them. Again, it just depends on you and your body. You know what you like and your level of comfort. Right now, my chair is still fairly new, so I'm not having any issues with the seat cushion itself. But again, for a hundred dollars, you're not going to get Lay-Z-Boy level comfort. As you have seen, the armrests are padded, and to me, they feel great. They are actually one of the best things I like about this chair (now that I've gotten it to lean back). If you don't have a chair with armrests and you're starting to develop pain in your shoulders, neck, or back, then the armrests alone at this price will PROBABLY make this chair worth the money to you. If not, at least get a chair with armrests because you can actually develop a long-term injury if you allow yourself to suffer for too long (yes... from sitting in a chair). The other thing I like about the armrests is: they flip up. I can easily store my chair under my desk and out of the way so that I have plenty of room to walk around, because I have my chair and desk in my bedroom for quick access. And, I also like the flip-up action because I can quickly get in and out of my chair without having to roll the chair back or pull away from my desk. I just turn, raise the armrest, and I'm out for a snack. And, if you have a wireless keyboard and want to lean back and use the keyboard in your lap (as I'm doing right now with the wireless Logitech K350), you simply raise one or both of the armrests to give yourself more room. You can also do this with a wired keyboard if you have a USB extension cable. So far, the chair is rolling smooth, the height adjuster and tilt adjusters work fine, and the rotation is almost flawless. The only time I feel a slight drag is when I'm leaning back all the way, but like I said, I modified it to make it lean more, so It's not the chair's fault. And, it's barely noticeable. Some people may actually like it better this way. it still rotates with ease, but not as smooth as when I'm sitting up.As far as assembly goes, it was fairly quick and easy. It took me about 45 minutes (without instructions) to assemble by myself. The tools (as you know) comes with it. And, this was my second most important reason for choosing this chair - everything you need is in the box.In the end, everything worked out great with this chair. It's NOT lop-sided. All of the parts lined up perfectly. Everything works fine. It's more comfortable. I don't need another chair, and I'm happy with what I got.Like I said, the ONLY downside right now is the big bulge in the front of the seat, but with a foot rest (which not a bad idea to have anyway) makes it better.Right now, it's comfortable enough to where I don't need a seat cushion, but whether or not you get one will depend on your body and what level of comfort you prefer.I like my chair, and my friend likes it, but I'm not sure if I would recommend this chair to a friend because I don't know if my experience was typical. Based on the ratings, most other people seem to have had a better experience with their chair, so their adjustments either work fine, or perhaps they are not as lazy as I am.Whether or not you get this chair or not is going to based on how long you have to be in it Think about that over the price. Read the reviews. Compare. Then, decide if it's worth it a hundred dollars or not.

An honest gamer review
What's up everyone, want an honest straight to the point review? Well read away.ASSEMBLY:Not so easy assembly, but the instructions are easy...HA. Unfortunately the way it's put together really should require two people to properly align the holes from the back to the arms, because it's a really tight squeeze and they expect you to do this AFTER you have the seat on the chair itself. I managed to do it solo, but it was quit annoying.DESIGN/COMFORT/SUPPORT:This is wear it shines. The design is definitely gamer appealing but not over the top and too ridiculous for a slick gaming office vs. an obnoxious crazy racing chair. The stitching and materials used feel of quality. The support is superb, and you feel like the chair holds you very well. I'm 6ft and 185lbs and feel great. The high back is nice, and gives me proper Lumbar and upper back support. The chair has the ability to lean back freely and to lock into position. The comfort is a 4/5 for me. The padding is great, but I've definitely felt much better. I haven't gotten uncomfortable, but the cushion on the seat definitely flattens out after a few hours of sitting in it.OVERALL:A solid 4/5. I enjoy it at the price I paid. It serves its purpose, looks good, and didn't cost me a fortune. Word of advice for the company? Figure out an easier solo assembly design without getting annoyed.

Great for starting out.
I bought this chair all the way back in 2018, and its been a wild ride. I gained a lot of weight in a very short period of time, an eventually exceeded the 250lb weight limit of this chair by well over 100lbs, and it took the abuse quite well, for a while. Eventually I leaned back too far and snapped one of the legs of the base, it was actually pretty funny looking back. I ordered a metal base and some nice casters, all in all they were around an extra $50, but since then this chair has far exceeded my expectations, every now and the the hydraulics will fail and I will sink to the lowest setting, but I reset it to the maximum height and its good for another several weeks. As a heavier set guy this is expected. The cushion in the seat has started to compress and not spring back, which is the only reason I am back looking for chairs again, but i might just add some memory foam and call it a day.

Good looking chair, ages pretty fast.
I've been using this chair for about 3 1/2 years now and I think it is a very nice looking, comfortable chair. My only problem that I've had is that the leather on the seat and arm rests is extremely thin and hasn't lasted very long. I had to man handle a pillow case on top of the seat so that pieces of leather would stop flying off the chair. Regardless, if you are on a tight budget and need a chair, this is a good option. However, I would recommend spending extra money if you have it on a higher quality chair and maybe one that doesn't have leather on it.

For the value it could be worse
It leans , locks into position, lowers and raises. Arms go up and down , all you need right? Most definitely but the left arm since I put it together is loose . And now it feels like it is about to fall off.Edit the arm did fall off, the arm was already attached when I got it. But I fixed it, everything still works on it tho.

Very comfortable high backed chair with lumbar support
Needed a new office chair for working from home. High backed office chairs with decent lumbar support at a budget price are really hard to find, but gaming chairs with the same are much easier to find. That said, most of them have garish colors or racing stripes that are just not a good look in a professional environment when you need to turn on your video. This chair has everything I want out of a good office chair and comes in normal office colors that look professional. Some of the other reviews mentioned it being difficult to assemble, but I didn't find that to be the case. The instructions weren't great, but if you have ever put an office chair together previously, most of it will be pretty self explanatory. All the screws and holes lined up perfectly and I had it all together in about 10 minutes.
