Behavioral Interviews for Software Engineers: All the Must-Know Questions With Proven Strategies and Answers That Will Get You the Job

Highly recommend!
Like probably many engineers I have previously focused too much on the technical part of interviews only. Turns out the behavioral parts are just as important not only for getting the job in the first place but even more so for leveling and compensation. This book really helped me get clarity on what exactly companies are actually looking for in these interviews and what the do's and don'ts are. I realize now that I really didn't know what I was doing before. The list of questions seems very comprehensive - it certainly had all the questions I've encountered in my interviews - so I feel much better prepared now. The way everything is structured into categories and the sample answers also helps to provide context and understanding. It definitely felt like a more than worthwhile investment.

Every Job Seeker should read this!
Such a great book with very practical insights and super helpful. A friend used it and he got the job. Very well put together, advice is applicable, ensures that you stand out and knows exactly what toughest recruiters ask! This is also for hiring managers to refine questions and get the right candidate.

Generated by ChatGPT, or might as well have been
This book is really weak. You could write this book yourself by going to a chatbot and saying "Tell me some leadership or behavioral questions that software engineers are likely to be asked?" and then making up generic answers. Here is an example. The first example question is "Tell me about the hardest bug you ever dealt with". The story given in the answer is about a memory leak that took like a few hours to fix. Now think about that. Is that going to be a good answer? In 2024? You people don't have tools to find memory leaks for you? This is the level of skill associated with this book.Don't waste your money on this book. Just ask 3 chatbots for leadership or behavioral questions and prepare your answers. Seriously.

Too expensive considering the value
Pretty much you can find content by Google search your self or using germini or chatgpt.
