Fantastic cordless pole saw (chainsaw)
With the extension pole you can really reach/cut the top of the tree before chopping the lower section. This is really useful. The 2.0Ah battery is sufficient to get you going and last long enough to cut a medium size tree into lots of small pieces. The saw head end is not too heavy and the pole does bend slightly when you pull down to cut. Overall itโs a fantastic tool for chopping up trees/wood. I have a Bosch nano saw which is useful but way under power in comparison. So far no leaking of oil. However I did leave the little sponge in the oil reservoir, not sure if that needs to be taken out.

Brilliant product
I've had a couple of Ryobi products and all of them have been very good. This pole pruner is no exception. Really useful for pruning branches that other wise youd have to be up a ladder with a chainsaw. This is a lot safer and far far easier.

Too heavy for a woman
I bought this because it was the best make and longest reach of all the extending chainsaws I looked at. I thought the weight would be fine for me (a woman of 5โ 4โ) but sadly Iโm finding it too heavy, which means that sometimes it โkicks backโ and throws it off balance which sends me backwards. The weight problem isnโt helped by the fact that the strap, which is meant to help with the weight, is far too long for me and not able to be shortened enough without the shoulder pad being A. in the wrong place, and B. unable to thread the strap buckle through it! This in turn means that I can only just reach the TWO triggers that you have to press simultaneously to get it to work, they are also quite far apart. I have checked on the Ryobi shop (on Amazon) to see if they can suggest how to either shorten the strap, move the shoulder pad or supply a shorter one but there is no telephone number sadly. Itโs a great piece of kitโฆ.. and would be even better if I was 8โ taller. I do wish manufacturers would realise that women do like to do their own jobs nowadays and say whether an item is suitable for a womanโฆโฆ..better still, make the same item with women in mind!! PLEASE. I really needed one this length but now find I canโt use the full extension anyway and, having used it, could no longer return it. Hence the four starsโฆโฆโฆsorry Ryobi. BUT, it does do the job and is quite powerful, just more suited to men.

Does exactly what it says
Does what it needs to do. Cut through and made light work of tree cutting. I keep the chainsaw upright in its box as it is supposed to continue to leak out the chain bar oil when not in use. Bought this with the battery and charger as the standard pack was without either. Well made and worth the money.

A very good cordless lopper
I love this lopper! Effortless removal of branches at heights that would otherwise require a ladder or work platform. Itโs relatively light in use and the 2.5Ah battery will give you over 30 cuts. Like other Ryobi tools in the range, itโs well made and thought-out. I now have this and a Ryobi pole hedge trimmer in an effort to get away from petrol powered tools. I was fortunate enough to get a free battery as a result of an offer before Christmas, so can keep working when the battery dies. No regrets so far!

Very Handy
Fantastic product. It is a little flimsy when at full extension but this is inherent by design. Chews through small to medium sized branches and I saved ยฃ900 by doing it myself! Highly recommend

Not good enough Ryobi
Like many, I carried out a lot of research before going with a cordless brand as no doubt I'll convert all of my tools from AC. The pole saw was the first, bought as a starter kit and overall, disappointing. The saw itself is highly capable and I believe it's an Oregon, so all good there. However, link that to a floppy, unweildy extension and it wasn't looking good. Good thing I only had some minor pruning to do. Wrong. Some comedian at Ryobi decided to pair this tool with a 2AH battery. After cutting through six branches, it quit and needed recharging. Realising this would go on, I tried buying a 5 or ,6AH variant, not Ryobis fault, it's Easter Sunday. Many charges later, I'm almost done. I have, apart from Ryobis thinking, to question the many reviewers praising this package. It is a very poor set up. Once I've got a more powerful battery. I'll try the impact wrench. If is equally flawed, it will be going back.
