I wear these shorts all the time. I got 3 different colors and they fit perfect. I am 6' and 330lbs and the 3X fits me perfect. I don't even have to use the draw strings. The length of the shorts is perfect and comes where you want it to right above the knee. The value is awesome and they would be great workout shorts. The color is exactly how it looks in the photo. They hold up when they are washed. They are easy to clean as well. I always use "Free & Clear" detergent and it does very well with keeping cloths looking sharp. The best thing is the pockets are deep enough to where you don't have to worry about things falling out. That is hard to find on any shorts. Whether they are gym shorts or casual shorts. When you find a company that makes the pockets large enough you kind of want to stick with them. These shorts are lightweight and very comfortable as well.

I’m pretty picky about gym shorts. I usually find that they’re either way too long (hitting mid-calf) or the material is so thick that I’m dripping sweat before I even finish my warmup. I grabbed these Champion 7-inchers on a whim, and they’ve quickly become my "first out of the drawer" pair. What I actually like: • The Weight: These things are incredibly light. It’s a thin, breathable polyester that almost feels like you’re wearing nothing—but in a secure, non-see-through way. • The Length: The 7-inch inseam is the "sweet spot." They sit just above the knee, so you don't look like you’re wearing 90s basketball shorts, but you’re also not showing too much leg during squats. • Deep Pockets: Usually, lightweight shorts have tiny pockets where your phone slides out the second you sit down. These pockets are surprisingly deep, and the little hidden zipper pocket is a lifesaver for my car keys or gym ID. • Drying Time: I’ve worn these on some humid outdoor runs and they don't get heavy when they get wet. They also air-dry super fast after a wash. A few things to note: • The "Swish" Factor: Because it’s a woven performance fabric, there is a bit of a "swish-swish" sound when you walk. It’s not loud, but if you’re looking for silent cotton-style shorts, these aren't it. • No Liner: These don't have a built-in brief/liner. For me, that’s a plus because I prefer wearing my own compression shorts underneath, but just a heads-up if you’re used to lined running shorts. • The Waistband: It’s a nice, wide elastic band that doesn't roll down, but the drawstring is a little on the long side. I usually have to tuck it in so it’s not flopping around during HIIT. The Verdict: If you want a solid, "no-nonsense" pair of shorts for lifting, running, or even just lounging in the summer heat, you can't really beat these for the price. They’ve survived about 10 washes so far and still look brand new.

I normally wear a Small but purchased these in a Medium due to upcoming hip surgery and wanting shorts that were oversized and easy to slip on. They are big but not too big, which is exactly what I was looking for. They are relatively comfortable and should serve their intended purpose. My only concern is with the material itself. It's a very thin fabric, similar to standard T-shirt material, so I do not anticipate these being durable or long-lasting. I would have preferred the equivalent of a mid-weight cotton sweat pant material, but given that these will not be worn for very long, I am OK with how they are made. I would recommend, but only if you are looking for shorts made from a very thin material.

I ordered size large tall, since the wearer is over 6 feet. The fit was perfect, the material washed well and the pockets were a plus!

Comfortable for my father. He’s 92 and mostly home. We live in a warm climate.

I loved these shorts for all around wear during the warmer months *but* Champion's Quality Control needs serious attention. I ordered 3 pair black and 3 pair Navy in the same winze I have ordered a couple times in the past, but this time all the lack pairs had pockets which were too shallow and I had trouble with a previous order where one pair had these shallow pockets and I almost lost my wallet twice. If keeping stuff in your pockets is important check them first and return them if that is a problem for you.
