Would this be suitable to protect gold-plated jewellery? (I have a ring which is making my finger green, looking for a solution to stop this.)

Silvo is an excellent silver polish for both silver and silver plate items. However, like all metal polishes it will over a considerable period of time (years!) wear a plated surface. Sadly it sounds like your ring is already well worn and the base metal is affecting your finger. Look to having it replated.

I have not tried this on aluminium, but the product states it is safe for aluminium. It is an excellent product and really makes your silver and anything else really shine. I have a lot of silver jewellery and it works great. Good Luck!!!!
