Easy to use, etched glasses for Christmas gifts

Just what I ordered

I do glass etching when the mood strikes me and hate using once-only stencils - if you mess one up, you're sunk! Love the concept of over 'n over stencils so I can duplicate the design on a set of glasses, for instance, without having to purchase multiple sets of my favorites. However, I find these tend to lose their stickiness after a few uses so the etching cream "creeps" beyond the stencil itself and you can't really tell until after you remove the stencil and the damage is done. Would love these a whole lot more if the repositionable nature could be refreshed when it weakens. But would still recommend to anyone wanting to make matching sets of .... whatever. Just wish they'd offer even more designs on Amazon!

I used these to make wedding favors for my daughter's beach wedding. This is the first time I've ever etched glass, and I was very pleased with how easy it was. These stencils multiple times were used multiple times. I didn't experience any seeping under the stencil, but I did rub them down firmly. The only complaint I have is that the dolphin stencil tore (the nose and tail are very close the edge and didn't withstand my not-so-gentle handling.) On the plus side, my husband ordered a second set (along with the other sea set) so we were able to get a variety of etchings. I would definitely order again. I think I have a new favorite hobby! Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year ...

These were too small for what I needed. Somehow, I thought they were larger. My fault for not reading the discription better. I kept them though as I'm sure I can use them for another project. Overall, good quality.

I got these to use on glasses, and they worked very well I thought. I peeled them off before washing the glass and washed the glass and then separately and carefully cleaned the etch cream off of it very good and let it dry completely before reusing them so they don’t bleed. The Barbed wire is tough to get straight and even but can be done with time and practice. Over all thought they were good

Just not quite what I was expecting. It seemed that it would be easy to work with, but it wasn't. I was trying to paint the little palm trees on bamboo, thought it would be easy because one side was sticky, keeping it from moving around. However, after painting and taking the stencil off, a lot of the paint came off as well. So I had to do my best to sand the bamboo down and repaint the area. All I did was basically made a mess. I think it would depend on what you are using the stencil for. It might work well only for glass etching. I tried using it twice on the bamboo, but both times I ended up with a mess and more work.

Bought these as a first-time etching project. So far have only used the mustache and not sure if i would actually ever use the rest. I etched a small glass using the Armour Glass Etching Kit and it worked almost perfectly. I say almost cause it was my first time and I wanted a "deeper etch" but for the first time doing this I have to give both products an A+ on being able to use them.After i etched the glass, i was able to remove the stencil and put it back on the plastic sheet for next time. I don't know but I am seeing a lot of use for this in the future.
