Very cheap, thin, scratchy "cashmere"...THIS was how I received it; frayed string tied back together!It was either sent out in this condition, or returned by an unhappy customer.I draped it across my shoulders while trying on a silk tea-length dress & it looked completely out of place.It was very casual, in appearance. But, I'd never wear it in the Fall or Winter, either, because it's so thin & unsubstantial.I'm sending it back and looking for something that's a lot better quality!

What a great shawl / scarf! I have not taken it off since it arrived in the mail. Soft, soft, soft and REAL cashmere you'll have for years. A little pricey but you'd buy several cheaper pieces over the years that will not give you the luxury and warmth of this one piece. Splurge on yourself!

Absolutely perfect wrap for warmth and beauty! I can be very casual with this or dressy. Recently visited Santa Cruz with limited packing space. Took this wrap, and even used it as a "robe" in the mornings over my nightgown.

Just noticed that there is a whole in my Shawl and I want to buy another one. Is it possible to send this one and get a new one. I also really want to buy a different color... It is soft and lovely. As far as wraps go, this is a very good one. It is a not too long, not too short length that allows me to drape over my shoulders, cross over my chest and flip over the opposite shoulder with a nice tail. The cashmere is soft. It is knitted, but with a fine weave. I would call it medium weight so it is not hot, but keeps my shoulders warm on cool mornings. It would be perfect for travel as it folds nicely, doesn't wrinkle and would slip into most purses without taking up too much room. I've have the red one for over a year and have had only minor pilling, hardly any at all.It's a little decadent, but on cool nights, I sleep in it over my pj's. It keeps my neck nice and warm without the need to adding so much weight from extra blankets. The same applies for too cool hotel rooms while on the road.

Having owned cashmere (bought on sale) for 20 years, I consider myself knowledgeable about the fabric. This shawl surprised me.It arrived in a plastic bag with a zip closure. The color was considerably paler than the photos (aqua). It had a slight smell, and was unwearable.I gently delicately washed it in shampoo, air dried on a rack. Balls of fluff began clumping as it dried. Over the 24 hours I let it dry, it developed more fluffy clumps.I picked it up to look at it, and it had thin spots where the clumps were.Waste of animal wool. What a shame.

It is perfect for a cooler day in Autumn but not for Winter as it is made of 2 ply, not 4 ply. Soft and quality seems good.

I debated whether or not to keep this shawl as it was a bit more casual looking than I expected it to be. I wanted to wear it at a wedding (with a long dress) if it got chilly in the evening. I ended up needing it and decided it did the job - it kept me warm, the cashmere was soft and light (not scratchy), and it looked better than anything else I could have worn. Now, I have a lovely warm shawl that I can wear whenever I need it -- I expect it will be packed to take along on most if not all future trips.
