Good for Beginner - A Littler Smaller Size - Read the Description
This chess board is pretty good for the value. It is nice the pieces fit inside and it does come with instructions. It is a little smaller than I expected so be sure to check the size in the description so you are not surprised, but it would be great for travel too because of the size.

Great starter set
This is a great starter chess set, both for home and for traveling. My only complaint is that the pieces don't always sit flat, so there's a little wobble. It seems like it's getting better with play, so don't let that stop you from getting this set.

Very transportable

Perfect starter set
Bought this to teach my 4 year old about chess. Perfect for this age and great storage. I wish it was magnetic, but otherwise perfect.

Excellent product
For the product price, I was surprised at how well this product is made. The board is sturdy and folds into a small case that houses all the chess pieces in tight green velvet. Very classy. Every piece is sturdy and well crafted, with absolutely no complains here!

Got my moneys worth
This is Avery good buy for the money. Nice wooden box, lays flat on the table (hinges do not interfere). pieces fit snugly in the styrofoam compartment and do not fall out. highly recommend this set.

Bad quality and not like what’s shown in the pictures.
Bad quality. Chess pieces are not magnetic like on the description. Lots of cracks on the pieces. There is no latch like in the pictures.

It’s missing the latches!
First off, I was very surprised when I opened the box and found my board was missing the two latches on the front. Instead they were replaced by 4 tiny magnets. That’s disappointing because the magnets don’t hold very well and now the pieces can fall out when travelling. The rest of the set is definitely playable but not at all high quality.
