I developed a terrible canker sore right under my tongue I couldnt talk or eat I struggled to swallow even liquids. It was about a third of a Q-tip deep and about 2 Q-tips wide. As soon as I applied this I did have a slight burn for a split second and then I felt absolutely nothing. The relief I felt was an absolute blessing. I was able to talk, eat and drink without any pain. It doesn't last 6 hours, at least it didnt for me. I'd say it lasted about 2. I was using other numbing products which I was unaware you could overuse and they lasted about 5 minutes at most and they really didnt numb it, just took the edge off. If you ever develop a canker sore I highly recommend this. You will feel such a relief and be completely pain free. My only complaint is the size of the tube and the consistency. Its similar to honey. I'd highly recommend applying to the tip of a Q-tip and holding for a few seconds. It will harden eventually if it gets on your teeth so you may have to go in and scrape it off. If I had known how small the tube was I would have purchased 2. Canker sores typically take 1-2 weeks to heal and if used a few times daily this will not last 2 weeks. That however, does not make this product any less amazing.

This treatment stings like crazy when applying, but it truly adheres a protective layer onto your canker sore that lasts for several days. Actually, I've only ever had to apply it once, and by the time it seemed to wear off, the sore was healed. It's worth the very short sting in order to eat and drink without pain. But you have to dry the area really well first so it can stick.

I've used this for years & it's the best thing for canker sores or if you bite your cheek or tongue. It covers the sore (if applied correctly,) takes about 30 seconds to dry so apply a thin-ish layer, decreases/stops pain & sensitivity, & helps heal. Highly recommend & will continue to buy.

Probably the best canker sore treatment I've tried so far after trying many. Like many treatments it's pretty painful when applying it, but does provide quick pain relief. How well you apply it partly determines how long it will stay on, but I've never gotten it to last 6 hours. Also it tends to come off while eating. That being said, it's not a huge deal to just reapply the stuff afterwards. Getting the gel to stick to the inside of your mouth is a bit of a challenge, but much easier if you use a q-tip. For me it doesn't seem to have any effect on how long the sore takes to heal, but it's the best treatment I've found for the pain in the meantime. Well worth the purchase.

When I had braces, I used to get mouth trauma sores all the time. I worked next door to a dentist, & he recommended this stuff - in fact, he used to give me samples. That was 30 years ago, & I never forgot his kindness, nor did I forget how well this worked. So on the rare occasion when I bit my cheek & develop a sore, I go for this right away. It really takes care of those sores. It's easy to use - you just dry off the area as best you can, & apply it. It's nice & thick, & sticks to the area (you just have to let it dry). It's very effective - I wouldn't use anything else. The tube is small enough to fit in your pocket or purse. Highly recommend!
