animonda Integra Protect Nieren (Renal) cat, wet food for chronic renal insufficiency, with beef, 16 x 100g

My cat likes this food, and as he has kidney problems its very good for hime, its soft and obviously taste good, as he eats it all.

This is the only brand of renal food that my cats will eat. Unfortunately for me it contains a lot of pieces of potato, both large and small pieces of hard inedible meat, plus gristle and tubes that my cats refuse to eat, so I have to spend time removing all of that before my cats will touch it. From a 100g tray I am often left with only 66g of edible cat food.

I have 2 cats, I bought the beef flavour (because that was all that was in stock at the time) for my older cat who has been diagnosed with renal insufficiency. I was attracted by the pate-like texture as she's only a small cat so doesn't manage well with big chunks of meat. She has a tendency to suck the gravy off other foods so this sounded like it could be great. When I opened the trays I was surprised by the texture. Out of the tray it looks like a terrine of pate, but when I broke it up with a spoon in the cat bowl, mixed in with the meat I could see what resembled white gristly bits. I don't know if this actually was gristle or something else, but the bottom line is neither of my cats will eat it, even my younger (bigger) boy cat who eats everything, literally EVERYTHING, won't touch it. Sorry but I won't be buying again, I tried to feed it to them on a couple of occasions to see if they were just being fussy but every time they've turned their nose up at it and I now have 9 trays that will go to waste.

One of the few brands my old cats enjoy and eat and the only one that does not cause them stomach issues. Very nice and glad it comes in several varietis
