Amazing what sharp tweezers can do.
I had a pair of specialized tweezers from years ago. I dropped them on the carpet one day and the point bent. These tweezers are nearly as good, but not the same, hence 4 stars instead of 5. They are slightly shorter and almost imperceptibly not as sharp. Nonetheless, they are very sharp and it is amazing what you can do with sharp tweezers. Getting to splinters, pressing the outside region of small blackheads - forcing them out, scraping between nails and skin, and gently picking things that need to be picked. You can't begin to understand the difference between cheap tweezers you think are very pointed, and these which truly are very pointed, until you see for yourself.

Tweezers
The tweezers work very well, but it took almost a month for the supplier to send them. When they were finally shipped, the supplier said they were sending the tracking #, which they didn't. When I requested it, they said it should have been sent. I had to remind them that the reason why I was e-mailing to get the tracking# was because they didn't send it. If you need tweezers in a hurry don't rely on the supplier to send them. Go to the drug store and buy some.

These WERE great. Unfortunately I dropped them and because the metal is fairly soft and the tweezers happened to hit just right, the tips curled in a bit and now I can't grasp anything. This is my luck. The chances of the tweezers landing the way they did is a 1/1000 shot. Before I broke them, they were wonderful. Wish the metal was stronger

Disappointed
I bought these tweezers (or what I thought were these tweezers) about 12 years ago and loved, loved, loved them. They were the most amazing tweezers I could ever imagine. So good that I had conversations with people about tweezers. Really.Well, I dropped them in the sink and the tips got a tiny bit bent. I tried to straighten them but they weren't quite the same. So I ordered these. I don't know if they changed the original tweezers or if these are a cheap version, but either way, I was very disappointed. As I recall, the first pair cost around $60-70, and were worth every penny. These ones were cheaper and not worth the cost. That being said, they aren't bad for tweezers, they just are far inferior to the original Rubis tweezers that I thought they were replacing.Since then, someone advised me to try fixing the original tweezers using some fine-grit sandpaper. Haven't tried it yet, but if you're in my boat, it is worth a shot.

For the point tweezer only - I like the Tweezerman Petite Point Tweezer which I think only ...
Rubis tweezers are more expensive than Tweezerman but blow Tweezerman products out of the water!I have only used Rubis Slant tweezer since I discovered it in 2007 from a magazine review. For the point tweezer only - I like the Tweezerman Petite Point Tweezer which I think only comes in a travel set.You need to be extra careful with point tweezers - if they fall they will misalign and not work correctly anymore. But someone in another review said you can send your Rubis tweezer ( manufactured by Mehaz I think) for sharpening to:Mehaz Service Center 19669 East Lake Shore , Bigfork, MT 59911 Include $3.00 for shipping.

Rubis used to be 5 star tweezers
I have bought tweezers for many years, and have bought many Rubis ones because they have always been far superior to anything else I'd tried - and I've tried countless brands. As expensive as they are, they've always been so sharp and sturdy and especially with these point tweezers they've been so perfectly aligned that you could pick up the smallest, finest hair even if it's barely surfacing on the skin. This is now the third Rubis I've bought that has not worked properly. For my purposes, it's almost useless and doesn't grasp the hair properly. This is so disappointing because I've yet to find anything comparable to the Rubis tweezers I used to get. And they are expensive to boot. These are 5 star tweezers if they are made correctly. 1 star if they aren't. I'm giving 3 stars as an average.

Super sharp tweezers
I love this tweezer, but be careful as it is so sharpe, you can easily stab yourself with them! These are real quality and I love them, especially for splinters. However they have a lot of uses. The unit is all quality and I feel worth the money as it has never lost in point, and my oldest pair, is still useful after over 5 years...they look and feel like new.Would definitely recommend!

Rubis Switzerland Point Tweezers
These are my second pair. These tweezers are great for removing ingrown hairs. The tips are sharp and tiny. A rubber tip is included to protect the tips when storing; however, you need to be careful not to drop them or the tips can be knocked so that the tips don't meet and no longer work.
