An overall decent printer that produces high quality prints out of the box.Whether it's the main board or the solid metal construction, it appears that the majority of the machine's construction which was controlled by Dobot has been done to a high standard. Unfortunately, the laser which is made by a 3rd party (naturally) doesn't appear to be made to such a good standard (i.e. basic Chinese laser), it also appears the steppers motors are relatively inexpensive, however, they all work nonetheless, but I believe better choices could have been made here.Despite it's small footprint, it's a solid and heavy machine and with that, prints seem to come out consistently smooth regardless of the settings you throw at it.The heated bed is made of a composite material and I am perplexed as to why, after making everything else out of solid aluminum and CNC'd parts, they chose to loose all of that quality by using a composite; one that seems to be unable to maintain usable flatness. They would be wise to revise their design and use a cast aluminum plate in place of the composite material, or adapted the CNC plate to accept the heated element..It is also a massive disappointment that these machines are not bigger, and I probably would not hesitate to pick up any future machines they produce with a larger build footprint as they compete on price to some of the cheap "kit" machines, yet have more versatile usage (laser, CNC) and are solid, robust machines which don't have a plethora of issues around cheap, thin and flexible parts.Of course, this machine has it's flaws, but what machine doesn't?
