As good as the more expensive brands
I got in on a "kickstarter" type campaign many years ago for a nugget ice maker and since that time that model was acquired by a big mfg company. I purchased it a high price but much lower than when it was released and what it costs now and I could not justify the expense for ice. It started having issues and stopped making ice so after some research I took a chance on this maker (since there were several negative reviews) and I must say I'm very satisfied. I use it to make my mixed cocktails on the weekend and it's very easy to operate. And I appreciate the cleaning instructions since I know that it's very important to properly clean these types of machines. It makes more than enough ice and is VERY fast from power 'on' to ice in the bucket. I like the small nuggets (sonic-ice or hospital ice depending on where you're from) to help put in my shaker for my drinks. The footprint is smaller than my prior model however it is a little loud when it's running/making ice. I've been using it now for a few months so this isn't a review done a few weeks after getting it.

Good ice- bad product... worse warranty.
I've bought two of these machines. One for myself and one for my son's college dorm. The ice machine produces good ice, and fairly quickly. Machine 1: Two months after receiving it, it started leaking from the bottom of the machine. Tons of water all over the counter. Turned it off, cleaned it, made sure all hoses were connected well. Leak was coming from a spot where there was no hose or valve. Contacted Frigidaire (wrong contact listed on the Amazon site, btw. Real email to contact for warranty is: [email protected]) I had to send pictures and video of the problem. They are requesting I send the machine to California, at my own expense to let them check it. If they feel like there is a warranty issue, they will refund or replace. They won't tell me what happens if they don't warranty it. Do they return the machine, or am I just out the $199 for the machine and the $50 in shipping?? Machine 2: Makes good ice, but randomly stops working for a few days. Unplug and let it sit, for a day, they plug back in. So far it comes back on and works for a few weeks before the process needs repeated. I'm kind of used to these countertop units only lasting a year or so- but these machines were purchased less than two months ago. Overall- based on the lack of support from the warranty and the quality of the two I've bought, I'd skip this machine.

No issues, good unit
No problems so far. I've ran about 70 pounds of ice through it so far. I have packed away two bags in the chest freezer. Once turned on it's making ice in about 6 minutes and will fill the ice drawer in about an hour. I tranfer this to my upright freezer until the ice bucket is full then turn the unit off. The only issue is the ice is kinda wet so it freezes into a block easily. I place if from the maker into a gallon ziplock then into the freezer. Then I pull and break it up before placing into the ice container in the upright freezer. The drain plug in the bottom of the unit is a big plus to drain the water in the bottom from the thawing ice.

So excited, works great!
I've only had since yesterday but so far I absolutely love it! Set up was easy, instructions to clean are simple. It makes a little noise but it's more quiet that a nice maker in a fridge by far and no weird smells! The video showing my machine doesn't have a full bin of ice because we have been using it so much 😅

Skip this one.
I have to admit, it works, as in it makes ice. It's also not terribly loud. You turn it on with a button, and stop it by pressing the same button once you are done making ice. The ice melts regardless of whether it is on or not, so there is no reason to have the machine on if you are not needing ice. That part probably wouldn't be so terrible, but. One thing that annoys the crap out of me regarding the melted ice. It does not provide a good way to drain the melt water. Per the instructions you physically have to pull the whole unit (not the lightest thing) off the counter top a few inches, remove a rubber drain plug from the bottom of the unit (mostly by feel) and let it drain into a bucket, and yes, its messy. This is just a ass-stupid design. They could have at least provided a removable tray, or built something better into the ice tray. The ice tray doesn't' even drain completely, so when you get near the bottom of the ice tray there is always a little melt water. The unit does have a removable drip tray, but it is pretty useless. It doesn't even attach to anything, just loosely sits on the counter where it is easily knocked aside. It's difficult removing the melt water without making a mess. Filling the reservoir is not exactly the cleanest process either, again thanks to the design. Speaking of design, a built in clock timer, like what is common with coffee pots and other small appliances would have been appreciated, but no such feature on this one. Anyway, I don't hate it enough to return it, though I rarely return anything. The product does what it advertises, it makes ice. The brainiac engineers really could have thought this one out a little better. I don't think I will be buying any more products from this brand..

Decent pellet ice maker for a good price
So far so good. My husband loves pellet ice, so this is a win. Takes about 15 minutes to start making ice, but after that it’s pretty steady. It’s actually a decent size, smaller than our air fryer. Able to fit nicely on the counter. It isn’t too noisy. I think it holds a good amount. If you don’t plan on using it right away or freezing it, it will melt. I wish it stayed colder in the ice tray. That’s honestly our only issue. When I’m not using it I remove the ice tray and water tray to help dry things out. I’ve seen people have mold issues, but with me doing this we haven’t had any issues yet. Overall, a decent product.

Came Exactly perfect as described 🥳
This ice machine I bought my wife for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It was at the top of her wish list and she was so surprised, getting to enjoy that chewy type of ice that she loves and has wanted at home for years. Top notch quality, delivering verbatim as it was described in detail as the product it is especially being a Frigidaire! 🤝

Very noisy bugger.
LOUD. SO. SO. LOUD. Really - this machine makes so much noise. Sounds like the fan could power a plane.

Machine died without producing a single ice nugget
Pathetic machine really. Opened the box and found water inside the machine — confidence level already on life support. Thought maybe it was “factory tested,” so I gave it a chance and ran the cleaning cycle. Came back a few minutes later… machine had peacefully passed away. Tried unplugging and plugging it back in like every desperate IT department on earth recommends… nothing. Completely dead. This machine managed to achieve the impossible: it died before producing a single ice nugget. Had high hopes, ended up buying what appears to be a very expensive paperweight

Love it!
I was nervous to purchase this machine because there were really varying reviews on it but so far it’s been great! It’s a touch loud but outside of this we love it. My husband and I agree that it’s one of our favourite purchases.

Do not Buy: Unusable after a couple months and no support
Purchased only a couple months ago and it makes a very loud grinding or screeching noise whenever turned on. I have attempted all of the trouble shooting suggestions and nothing works. I have attempted to contact support through all options and cannot get through to anyone. Before this $300 ice maker I had a $60 one that lasted many years. Do not purchase this item.
