Is this contraction ratio normal?

Heat shrink sleeve is available in 2:1 and 3:1 contraction ratios so, yes, 3:1 is quite normal.

Can you really fit this 3/4" tubing over the flared end of a 2/0 awg (3/8") terminal? Seems like I'm would need the 1.25" size. Yes?

The 3/4'' is bigger than you think. I love this stuff. As it shrinks the material gets thicker. The glue seals the bond and when cooled, it is firm and tight. Get it too big, and it won't shrink enough to make the tight bond.

The unshrunk tube has an internal 3/4inch which is in approximately 19mm.. Not shrunk to its maximum but did seal to a 6mm diameter fitting.
