Update as of June 2024: Stopped working this week after around 2 years, I don't use my straighteners often so not a forever fix. I'll order another fuse and see how long this one lasts. My Mk5s stopped working. Changed the power supply and it wasn't that. Followed a YouTube tutorial and changed the thermal fuse and good as news! Well Impressed

Very pleased with item and now GHDs are now working , my only grievance is they wasnt delivered when we was told they would be and for the price of the delivery I would expect better delivery .

I bought 2 of these for a fiver as my wife's GHD 5.0 straighteners had stopped working and a check with my multimeter confirmed a blown thermal fuse and both elements okay. Delivery was rapid and on checking the dimensions these are an exact match with the originals apart from the leads, which are a bit longer than on the original, but did not present any problems when fitting. The thermal fuse was fitted to the defective straighteners in no time and upon switching on, after reassembly of course, they worked first time so effectively a set of GHDs were repaired for £2.50 plus my time, a no brainer. If anyone is wondering why I bought 2 fuses it was because they were so cheap that I now have a spare should any of my friends or family require a similar repair carried out in the future as I have repaired quite a few sets of GHDs now.

Purchased this fuse to replace one out of a model 3.1, great price and superfast delivery from seller. This fuse is slightly larger than the fuse that came out so some fiddling with the mounting plate but eventually all fitted ok. The length is bigger so had to extend the mounting hole using a sharp knife to elongate the hole. The fuse thickness is also bigger so makes for a tight fit, be careful not to damage existing parts. All in all, take your time and don't force anything. Really pleased with fix and used IR thermometer to check operating temperature, mine ramped up to 170 deg C and sat there. For the money spent and time much better that £100+ replacement.

Works as stated

The part arrived promptly and was the perfect replacement for my GHD's. Following a youtube video it was easy to swap them over. As mentioned, the fuse is a little bigger than the original but it fitted into the space with no probs. Now my GHD's are back to working perfectly again!

This fuse once installed made the plates far too hot, so much so that they melted the plastic in the straightener and ruined them beyond repair, I have fitted many fuses over the years and never seen this happen before. Really hard to recommend a product that would do this, not saying they are all like this but for us it was nearly a fire and we have lost a pair of straighteners. I know there is a risk with these kind of repairs but they should never get to that point where they melt everything

Montato su ghd 5.0. Stesse misure dell'originale. Unica cosa ha i file leggermente più lunghi ma non crea problemi in fase di montaggio. Vedremo la durata nel tempo. Ricevuto in un giorno al prezzo di 10.58 euro. Ottimo. La piastra ha ripreso a funzionare. Per capire se il problema è il fusibile aprire la piastra dal lato dell.interruttore e misurare con il tester sui morsetti del fusibile. Se il circuito è interrotto è il fusibile da cambiare. È installato nella piastra scaldante.su youtube trovate molti tutorial per la sostituzione. Se vi sono stato di aiuto mettete un mi piace sotto. Grazie a tutti

Die Kabel sind etwas länger als beim Original, Einbau dennoch gut machbar. Auf Youtube lassen sich gute Videos für die Montage finden.

Hätte niemals gedacht, dass es funktioniert und dann auch tatsächlich noch sehr einfach. Ich habe das Glätteisen anhand eines you tibe Videos auseinander gebaut, die defekte Thermosicherung ausgebaut und die neue eingebaut. Das Glätteisen einfach wieder zusammengebaut, also sozusagen das You tube Video rückwärts wieder Schritt für Schritt abgearbeitet und was soll ich sagen... Mein 11 Jahre altes GHD Glätteisen funktioniert wieder wie am ersten Tag. Also klare Kaufempfehlung!!
