My Irish setter with his long curly hair under his ears had to go to the vets to get some matts shaved out as they were matting into his skin. Since using this product we have not had any matts. If i find a small tangle, I massage this into the hair and leave it for awhile and then comb it out. His hair is now silky smooth and tangled free

Chris Christensen Ice on Ice Detangler and Finishing Spray performs as described. It made my poodle-terrier's neglected coat look smooth, and feel fluffy, like a human's volumizing conditioner. A few sprays and the brush glides easily through tangled hair. This is not for serious mats, which require shaving or cutting off. There is no strong smell and it did not irritate my dog's sensitive skin. I researched a lot of products and the fact that professional groomers use this on show dogs made me select it over the many other options. I highly recommend this product.
