Bombproof Outlet Tester
Great, no-frills plug tester for the price. Performs exactly as expected, and the analog construction of this unit makes it virtually bomb-proof. There's really nothing that could break or glitch. You get your results in seconds after plugging in, but the lights on the readout could be brighter. Great value for the money, and an incredibly useful tool to have for DIYers changing receptacles, or anyone trying to diagnose receptacle electrical issues. Could not be easier to use, and the instructions/faults are printed right on the tester. Easily pocketable and generally just a great tool to have for homeowners.

Nice addition to your tool box
After seeing my house inspector uses one of these outlet tester, I decided to get one myself so that i can test the outlets myself if I ever need to change the receptacles. So I decided on the Gardner bender tester after reading reviews on Amazon. The tester functions well and it's definitely a nice addition to your electrical tool box. There are reviews out there that complaints the visibility of the lights, but I have had no problem with it. The tester actually already helped me save some money when I found out that one of the outlet is actually centrally grounded when I was about to have it changed to a GFCI receptacle. I would 100% recommend the product.

Easy to use and for avoiding unpleasant surprises
I bought this to test all the outlets in my place to see if I could safely plug in a grounding cable. It showed me that my outlets are compatible. Good purchase and price.

An excellent little piece of kit that has already helped me identify two non-functioning GFCIs This is functioning flawlessly and has resulted in replacing a couple outlets that were clearly not working properly. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that it can be a bit difficult to get in and out of outlets, but not enough of a pain to lose a star :) Definitely recommend!
