Why is the pressure gauge not rising?

This is normal.Pressure will only rise after:1.Enough water is added (2–3 inches recommended)2.The lid is properly locked3.Steam vents continuously for 10 minutes before placing the regulator.TIP: Always vent steam for 10 minutes before pressurizing.

Why is steam leaking from the rim of the lid?

This usually means:The lid is not aligned correctly,The sealing ring is not seated properly,The locking mechanism is not fully engaged. Fix:Turn off heat,Let pressure drop naturally,Reinstall sealing ring correctly,Lock lid firmly.

Why can’t I open the lid after cooking?

This is a safety feature. The lid will not open if Internal pressure has not fully released. Wait until:Pressure gauge reads 0 PSI,No steam escapes,Safety lock drops completely. TIP:Safety lock prevents accidents.Never force open the lid.

Can I use this for daily cooking?

This is a large 24QT pressure canner designed for:Batch canning,Bulk food preservation,Large family cooking. It is NOT a small everyday pressure cooker. For daily small meals, a 6–10QT cooker is more suitable.
