Polti La Vaporella XT100C, Steam Iron with Boiler

I think this iron is great!Reading some of the other reviews it seems that you can take the 10 year cover with a pinch of salt, that’s what I will be doing.I picked this up for under £250 and having used it a few times I can say it really is worth the money. Ironing my shirts is a breeze and now takes half the one it did before.My only gripe is that the power cord for the wall to the iron is not long enough, it feels like Polti know this because they have a special pullout tray you can use to bring the actual iron closer. So the inventiveness of the solution in my mind means this is a 5 star product!Now let’s see if it stands the test of time!

This is my second Polti steam generator iron in 15 years. If this one lasts as long as the other one, I'll be VERY happy. It's still early days, and so far it's taken me a couple uses to get used to it because I actually liked the heavier weight of the old one which also had continuous steam - not that I used it often. The one thing I'm going to have to get used to is the fact that when ironing, the steam intermittently stops for a few seconds as if to power up again. Considering this is a 7.5 bar compared to my old 5 bar iron, I'm not sure why. It's not a deal breaker though and I'm sure I'll get used to it.It does make a kind of generator noise occasionally, but I'm familiar with the noise because of the Polti carpet cleaner I have, and I just assume that this is the tank re-pressurising. Who knows, I'm no engineer though :-). The tank is big - I mean physically bigger than my old one though I think they both hold the same amount of water - but, I LOVE that I don't have to wait for the pressure to go down before refilling, meaning that you can just continue ironing for however long it takes without needing to take a break.Also, the time it takes for the tank to pressurise and you can start ironing ... my old one used to take about 10 minutes. This one takes 2 minute! I no longer have to put the iron on and go shower before ironing one item! If you've ever owned a Polti, you know how annoying this can be, let alone the electricity you burn to iron ONE top!Finally, PRICE: At the time of writing this review, the La Vaporella XT100C is £70 more on the Polti website. So whilst there are a few things that would have made my new purchase perfect, it still deserves 5 stars.

I bought this in 2021. It was amazing. Very strong steam power lightweight overall. The problem is that the steam hundle doesn't work anymore and you cant find official Polti center in UK. So for now I will go back to steam iron cause I am not willing to give the same money for this.

Lasted less than 4 months of infrequent use. Base unit suddenly started leaking alot of water and failing to generate steam. Wasnt all that impressed with product prior to this. Water tank is fairly small. Power cord isnt quite as long as id like and there's no way to stand the iron part up on its back. It can only sit hot plate facing down on the board. Fair to say I would not recommend. I have returned it and ordered a tefal to replace. Had no significant issues with the tefal steam generator I previously owned, other than longevity (lasted just over 2 years). Hoping new one will last longer as it is superior to the polti one.

This is a great iron, yes it’s expensive but I feel easy use and professional results are worth the price. I would 100% recommend this iron and the customer service is excellent. I bought my iron May 2019 and it recently had a problem. I rang the company and was told they’d pick up iron from my house in a few days. I received iron back like new a few short days later. No fuss, no pleading with them to repair the crack in the iron, etc, etc, no awkward questions just prompt, helpful customer service. I’m very impressed with the company.

Having bought another wellknown brand of steam generator iron which packed up after just 10 months, did some research into other brands and models and came across the Polti La Vaporella XT90C, Steam Generator Iron.This is in a whole different league in terms of quality and steam output - 7 bar is really powerful and ironing is so much easier with the Polti. The actual iron is very lightweight and glides beautifully.The main unit is relatively large but is portable, however the chord from the unit to the iron is very long so no issues there.This iron comes with a 10 year manufacturers guarantee and I suppose the reason they offer this is because the quality is so good. I have no idea if this iron will last that long but it's good to know there is a long guarantee to fall back on should it go wrong before then.

This steam generator iron produces a strong stream of steam. Glides through any items that require ironing. Unfortunately the steam generator broke on the second use. Tried to get a replacement but Amazon had sold out. The price elsewhere was £349.00.Good iron but for a Polti - the generator broke too easily. Disappointed in the reliability. I expected much more.
